Førde Airport is 20 minutes’ drive away. Arrangements and breakfast were all good but note that the reception does not stay open late so some guests (who did not speak Norwegian nor English) arrived without knowing how to access their rooms. Also was building work going on so car park was unstable and one guest's motorbike fell over causing damage as the stand just sank into the surface. Finally the access road was blocked so if it is when others stay there just take the next turning and go round the block. Simple. Otherwise great place to stay - made good use of the laundry and drying facilities. Staff were great.

Kayaking and cycling are popular in the area. The 12th-century Undredal Stave Church is a 15-minute drive from Brekke Gard Hostel. I stayed in the red house. The house made me feel like in another time. It's a tipical norwegian house, with a lot of old and well preserve furniture, but also it has all modern comodities. The kitchen was huge all well equipped, there were a lot of bathrooms and common spaces. The rooms and the entire house were very clean and the view of the Brekke waterfall from my room window was amazing. The location of this place is great, a nice walking distance from the center and the fiords.

The view was amazing from every window in the house. The faclities were great with a fully equiped kitchen and super modern and clean bathrooms. We are traveling via public transport and did not have any issues. It’s a 12 minute walk from the town center where there is a bus stop, super market and cafe (Notice that google maps is a bit confused here if you click the link on booking.com it will take you to the right place). We decided to hike to Steganstein which is an amazing view point and the hike starts right by the house. We came off season so we even had the whole house to ourselves for one of the nights.

Welcome to Sogndal Bed & Breakfast and to Sogndal! We are a hostel that are only open in the summer time, during the school year we are Sogndal Folk High School. Come to us to enjoy our own private garden, we have a lovely apple garden that have a hammoc and several homemade chairs to relax in. Here you can relax, read a good book or take a nap. We also have a sand volleyball court and a scoccer field where you can borrow a ball from the reception. Sogndal village is only 500 meters from the property (around 10 minuts to walk) and we have several hiking trails in the area. Mini-fridge and tea kettle in shared area were a pleasant surprise. Room was much larger than the description; I estimate it at approximately 200 square feet. Uphill from the road, with minimal traffic noise. Nice views of the surrounding countryside. Shared kitchen was spacious and useful. Easy walking access to downtown. Plenty of storage shelves and wardrobes.
