The location is great, it took me a while to figure out that it is inside the train station - but it was super comfortable to come and go and travel in the city just by walking (I came on a Christian Holyday so there was no public transportation in town). And it also looks very beautiful from the outside.

Sjoa Hostel & Guesthouse is less than a 1-hour drive from Rondeslottet Mountain and the Besseggen mountain ridge, which are popular hiking destinations. The guesthouse arranges rafting in River Sjoa, riverboarding and canyoning. Beatiful place and friendly. Very clean.

I was able to do laundry the night that I arrived and was pleased to have access to a kitchen, kettle, and good internet. I was traveling by train and it was a bit far from the station, but the host was kind enough to drive me on arrival and to my destination (Ringebu Stave Church) in the morning. The area is beautiful.
