Situated in Las Peñitas, within 600 metres of Poneloya Beach and 600 metres of Las Peñitas Beach, Cabanas Rusticas features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive.

The area is popular for hiking, and bike hire is available at the hostel.

We were there as a couple and stayed in one of the private cabañas. We really enjoyed our stay, despite the heat we slept pretty well. The bed is confortable and has a nice mosquito net. We felt welcomed and appreciated the chilled family vibe of the place, it is also quiet and the internet works well if you need to do a bit of work. The kitchen is also well equipped if you like to cook. You do need to walk a bit to go to the beach but you can also rent bikes :) If you have a mean of transportation (we had a moto), it is also super easy to go explore and spend the day in Leon !

Really nice grounds, patio and hammocks. The free use bikes were very handy for grocery runs and runs to other parts of the beach as well as restaurants in the evening. The lady that manages the place is so very nice The breakfast was the best I had since I came to Nicaragua and she made it 30 mins earlier than scheduled for me as I had to catch an early bus

Such a beautiful setting right at the beach, I cannot think of any better. Beach volleyball court in front, surfing equipment for rent and surfing lessons to book. Bus from Leon stops at the entrance, many people from other hostels chill there because it's just so nice. And the hammocks are just comfortable. We had a quite big private room spanning over two floors with an integrated bathroom. Nothing to complain everything very clean and tidy.

Room was very clean and tidy and the place is right on the beach. The breakfast was tasty and a good size! As was the other food. We had the 4 person room which was also accessible for our friend who was using a wheelchair. The place felt safe and secure!

The hostel is right next to the bus stop so that’s easy. It is about a 15min walk to the beach though, so you are missing out a bit on the view and the breeze. The hostel has a nice kitchen and chill out area and the rooms all have mosquito nets (thank god) & the staff (Johanna) was absolutely lovely.

Very nice place overall, it looks much more expensive than it is. Pool is cleaned daily. Easy place to relax but close access to the beach. Away from the noise of the backpacker hostels. The food is outstanding. I'd happily stay there again. The employees don't speak any English but are attentive and friendly.

Patrick, the owner, went above and beyond to help everyone out, with great recommendations for nearby, a really easy system for cheap drinks at the hostel and he even repaired my board bag for me when it broke a little. There is a really nice relaxed vibe at the hostel, a great kitchen and an amazing dog! Would recommend

It was probably the best hostel I've stayed on the beach side in Nicaragua! The vibe was just amazing, so laid-back but family-like and friendly. Matteo, the owner is super fun and helpful, the rooms nice and clean, the kitchen comfortable, beach is just 2 mins walk. Common area was pretty and comfortable to work (good wifi, unless there's no electricity in whole village haha) or just chill. Lovely volunteers as well!
