Waikato Stadium is 13 km from the farm stay and Hamilton Gardens is 14 km away. Nice owners. The space is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. We decided to make a detour to Hamilton for fine dining. Grateful to the owners who nicely received us even though we had booked in the very last minute.
Matamata
The farm stay is fitted with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a terrace with mountain views. A private entrance leads guests into the farm stay, where they can enjoy some fruits and chocolates or cookies. A dressing room, housekeeping service and full-day security are also available. Everything was exceptional. Very luxurious and comfortable with a loveliest host . Location is amazing , close to cafes but with a farm feel . Breakfast was very generous . We would rate this a 6 star ⭐️ . We really enjoyed this area there are plenty of walks close by and also Hobbiton .
Port Waikato
A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a private beach area, outdoor swimming pool and private parking among other facilities. This 5-star farm stay offers full-day security and luggage storage space. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!

Stunning Farmhouse Views Friendliness of hosts Breakfast Cleanliness
We loved the rural location and the super warm welcome from owners Jen and Dewi. Beds were exceptionally comfortable, rooms spacious, house gloriously rustic and great facilities. Nothing was too much bother and we were made to feel like part of the family! Great location for our Hobbiton visit.
Very fun place to stay. Who needs the TV when you can watch Alpacas all evening!! Clean and tidy enough for us, it is a farm stay so don’t expect anything sparkling clean. Really easy to find and get too from the highway, self check in & a friendly host. Also only takes 5 mins to get into Cambridge for some food. Overall a great overnight stay.
Great rural location and garden/farm views. House was lovely and spacious and clean. Complementary snacks and breakfast were nice. Host wad friendly and inviting.
Love farmstay and the whole place to yourself
A lovely decorated cabin in a beautiful landscape, a little bit like Glamping. We especially enjoyed the evenings in the farmhouse, cooking, chatting with Jamie and family and exchanging travel experiences with other guests.

Peter’s farm stay is really amazing ,even warm and cozy in winter.Breathtaking view,spacious room,fully equipped kitchen,comfortable beds,lovely animals ~you name it.We even got to see the galaxy at night!Hope we’ll come back again in the future.
