Beautiful little cottage in a lovely rural setting. The space is very well considered and kitted out so you can easily cook, eat and relax. Micheal was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed (and more!) for a comfortable stay. We loved our time here and will probably be back again when we are in the area!

Lovely apartment in old farmhouse and extensive grounds - able to watch the wildlife from the window. I particularly appreciated the welcome hamper of wine, treacle tarts etc.

Excellent breakfast served in a homely farm style kitchen. Good welcome but also was nice to be left to our own devices. The room was so very full of charm & super spacious. I would 100% recommend.

Fresh modern decoration, lovely bedlinen, modern kitchen area with all you need. Shared entrance with 3? other apartments, 'The Retreat' was on the first floor, up a short flight of stairs. Every aspect of our stay was first class. Wonderfully quiet - apart from fantastic bird chorus- in a lovely farmhouse hosted by a welcoming friendly couple Ed and Jo who couldn’t do enough for us! The breakfast was great and all the extra touches - chocolate, drinks, Maoms , etc - were much appreciated. Lovely family, lovely place, great experience!!

Everything but particularly the welcome and care from Illyria and Harry - the hosts, the lovely breakfasts in their farmhouse style kitchen, the great chats we had with them and and their family and other guests, the lovely slightly quirky feel to the house, the small but important things things they did for us like coming out and giving us an umbrella when we were passing in the heavy rain , and the overall feel of Rye and surrounding area.

Nice rural location. The Hare and Hounds is located about 2 miles from Rye. We walked into town from there over farm land and lanes. There is a nice Pub just up the road. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and our breakfast just fantastic. The room was large and spacious with a nice shower/bathroom. Very clean all round.
