To start with, communication was fabulous and informative.
Wendy was so welcoming and made us feel immediately welcome and comfortable. The shepherd's hut was immaculate, cosy, and relaxing. The hut had all the necessary equipment and more. The log burner was delightful and warmed it beautifully when it got a bit chilly outside. Wendy provided a beautiful continental breakfast both days, which really set us up for the day. It was all so fresh and delicious! Homemade jam and marmalade were a lovely touch.
Wendy and Graham invited us to meet and bottle feed the new lambs !! Honestly, they're gorgeous, and this absolutely made our stay ! The grounds are beyond beautiful, especially the woods laden with Bluebells ! It was magical !
I couldn't thank Wendy and Graham enough for their hospitality.We felt so relaxed! Highly recommended, and we would love to return to this beautiful little haven ! It's a real hidden gem !

Situated in Robertsbridge and only 36 km from Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park, Adorable Hideaway with log fire and incredible views features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Housed in a building dating from 1983, this farm stay is 37 km from Leeds Castle and 46 km from Glyndebourne Opera House. The property is non-smoking and is located 36 km from Eastbourne Pier. Charming cabin in peaceful surroundings, within walking distance of Bodiam Castle and local amenities. Host was very friendly and helpful, suggesting local walking routes and good pubs. Good wifi, comfortable bed, hot shower, lovely lounge area. My daughter appreciated the hairdryer and hair straighteners! Kitchenette was well stocked with all necessary cutlery and crockery, washing up supplies etc. There was also a coffee machine (with pods) as well as a very nice bottle of apple juice, milk, and a small fruit bowl - this was a nice touch.

The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and responsive. That is so important. Despite the cafe closing at 5pm on second night we were offered a light supper which meant we could stay in and relax rather than drive to a pub somewhere. The bed was very comfortable and the room relaxing. The breakfast was amazing. We could walk out the Farmhouse to stroll on the footpath to Cuckmere Haven or get on the South Downs way. The garden was a lovely place to relax in when the weather permitted.
The lovely farmhouse was fitted out exceptionally well. The beautiful views from every window made for a restful and calm ambiance. Hosts were very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Very quaint and rustic, set adjacent to a farm and close to lovely pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious.
Quiet, private location in a farmhouse up a short drive from the road. Garden/field views. Cosy, comfy and clean apartment, large living/eating area with separate bedroom and bathroom. Fresh modern decoration, lovely bedlinen, modern kitchen area with all you need. Shared entrance with 3? other apartments, 'The Retreat' was on the first floor, up a short flight of stairs. Generous welcome pack with bread, milk, butter and wine. Just a short drive from Rye and easy to find.
Lovely old farmhouse in a fairly magical setting. Deer wandering across the roads made the trip. Comfy room. Nice bathroom. Lovely lounge and the best selection of books ever come across :). Friendly hosts.
The location is great. The Farmhouse bedroom and the lounge area are very comfortable. The service was great. Food was also excellent.

Everything but particularly the welcome and care from Illyria and Harry - the hosts, the lovely breakfasts in their farmhouse style kitchen, the great chats we had with them and and their family and other guests, the lovely slightly quirky feel to the house, the small but important things things they did for us like coming out and giving us an umbrella when we were passing in the heavy rain , and the overall feel of Rye and surrounding area.
