The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. EVERYTHING !!! Staff was excellent Ms Barbara at reception, Akhil at bar and this other gentleman who ushered us at lunch to our seats, the Chinese waitress at breakfast ....all amazing plus food surpassed anything ever had before.

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. The Staff are so Friendly. The room was a good size at the front. Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!

We had a wedding at The Hidden Barns, so we were after somewhere big enough for 2 families (with small children) to share and that was still close to the wedding venue. This ticked all the boxes. Stunning cottage, beautifully designed and perfect for the little ones to run around in. Absolutely spotless, Lynn was fantastically accommodating and helpful. We throughly enjoyed our stay and it was a shame we had to leave. Would 100% recommend 10/10
The pool was great for the kids and the attedent was helpful and warm and friendly. We had reaaly good fun. The bar staff were also very helpful. The family room size was great and te room was quiet and we slept well.
We loved our family trip. Everything was close to place we were staying.Short trip about 15 min away from Town Centre and 15 min away from Lakes. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you need to cook,good heating,electric fireplace,good shower. Kids had so much fun.Thank you for sweet Welcome basket😉
Exceptional all round. Incredible value for money. Staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was perfect and they went out of their way to provide a lovely cot set up, baby towel and wash. The food was lovely in the evening and the breakfast so generous and delicious. We will be back...with more family :) thank you so much. Out children didn't want to leave.
Family room was perfect, plenty of space. Lovely touches for kids in the room, dressing gowns, cookies and milk. Good coffee machine in room. Luggage wagon was great and took the stress out of the logistics of travelling with baby. USB charging sockets useful. Staff really helpful
The lodge was beautiful! Amazing location, very clean and had everything you need. Julie was lovely and very accommodating, we have two small children and she provided a cot bed, changing mat, baby bath and high chair which was amazing as it gave us peace of mind that our babies would be comfortable. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here, it’s great for little families! Will definitely be booking again!
Very nice quiet flat despite being next to the steeet with a lot of space and bathroom. They also had baby cot ready for us (but hidden in wardrobe) and high chair too so really family friendly and gamesfor kids books and dvds. Fast response from owner. We had a great family time there. Also closely is playground and nice walking path and all the shops n bars. So definitely recommend to book it.
