In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

Located in a tranquil area just behind Tebay Services, with convenient access from the M6. The hotel boasts a garden with a pond, as well as an on-site bar and a restaurant. I was able to park my glider trailer nearby.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. The location is amazing and the rooms were really good. Everything is good quality and I will definitely be coming here again and recommending it.

For walkers, Ravenstone Lodge is at the start of some of the best Skiddaw walks, as well as being just 1 mile from the many walks around Dodd Wood.
