The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I felt very comfortable. The interior design is very tasteful and the colours are well chosen. The location is easy to find. The location gives you the feeling of being in the countryside. The nights are very restful... because it is totally quiet... Only the cockerel wakes you up in the morning... just like in the countryside. Simply marvellous. I will definitely visit the location again and would be very happy to recommend it.

Everything you could want was there. Aircon and fan was an appreciated necessity. Extras like some condiments , breadsticks water bottles in the fridge and ice cubes in the freezer. Abundance of linen. Microwave was a bonus too. Got to watch prime tv. Great position to explore near by tourist attractions.

We had a hire car and the hotel had free car parking. The rooms are very well priced (we are 2 friends, decided to get a room each). Breakfast is €5 but there is a supermarket downstairs and a bustling Japanese restaurant.
The rooms have been fairly recently renovated, they’re big and functional.
It’s a short walk to train station (we went to Modena, only 7 minutes away, visited the Enzo Ferrari museum which was excellent). it’s close to a fabulous restaurant Osteria Viadelante which was superb!
Perfect stay for one night for family of 5 (3 kids). comfy beds. perfect location when traveling with car. very polite personel. our breakfast was not included, however in was optional for 5EUR. good coffee.
Its cliche but also very true that Ermellina (and Francesca and her family) are home away from home. Ermellina is an amazing hotel, with very spacious comfortable room and amazing hosts (the best part) that can help you navigate through Modena region.
Definitely one of my best stays in Italy, strongly recommend it and I will definitely be back!
What is there to not love. The ‘old’ (read: melancholy) interior takes you back to when service was at it’s pinnacle. The staff are warm and friendly. The restaurant is exquisite. I’ve been lucky to have been here several times since I was a child. I will come back here for many years to come.
Fantastic atmosphere. Rooms top notch. Really value for money.
On top of this you have a Italy’s first Michelin star restaurant with local food to an affordable price.
