A most charming host and a delightful studio apartment which could scarcely fail to please. Immensely comfortably appointed with some lovely period pieces of furniture from the 40s and 50s which add much to the character and charm of the accommodation. Could not be better positioned in the epicentre of Rubiera and immediately behind the fabulous Alvaro restaurant of legendary reputation. Indeed, the proprietor of Ermellina is no less than the granddaughter of Alvaro and has many an anecdote to recount of him and his family in their heyday. A jewel of a place to stay.

Staff were fabulous, the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was excellent.
The Bar Manager and the Chef took great pride in their work and were sure that every guest felt looked after.
The sauna, gym and spa was a very pleasant surprise. The rooms were remarkably quiet.
We had a hire car and the hotel had free car parking. The rooms are very well priced (we are 2 friends, decided to get a room each). Breakfast is €5 but there is a supermarket downstairs and a bustling Japanese restaurant.
The rooms have been fairly recently renovated, they’re big and functional.
It’s a short walk to train station (we went to Modena, only 7 minutes away, visited the Enzo Ferrari museum which was excellent). it’s close to a fabulous restaurant Osteria Viadelante which was superb!
It is hard to describe how amazing this place is. From the outside it looks like another building in Rubiera, but once inside, it is transformed into first class Swiss establishment. The furnishings look new and are well thought out. Breakfast was great. Finally, our host Nadia was very attentive to our needs. Calling this a B&B is not giving it the credit it deserves.
The hotel is easily accessible both by car and by walking from the train station. The staff were friendly and polite, they took care to make sure to show us what we needed and went the extra mile by arranging transport for us after a concert at the arena in Reggio Emilia. Breakfast was simple but good it consisted of croissants, cereal and various juices.
It was not only the hotel it was the whole experience, it was all perfect starting from the service, through the comfort, design, even the smell! :) You can see the passion and heart put in this place. I strongly recommend!
