I genuinely don’t know why there were so many complaints about this hotel. The hotel is perfect for the a nights sleep. It’s cheap and affordable. The staff are extremely welcoming and kind . I think people are too entitled these days , complaining when it costs so little. If you’re thinking of booking it I would recommend 100%.

The receptionist was very helpful and organised a shuttle to the airport infact she told us it was cheaper to get a taxi for a family so she organised one which came right on time at 4am. The children had the pool and a table tennis table to occupy them. Also within a 10 minute walk was an excellent pub with fantastic food.

I had booked two double rooms. We have two older teenagers, a girl and a boy. They did not want to share or sleep with mum or dad in a bed. We asked as we were checking in if we could have two rooms with single beds. They instead got us in to two family rooms. Each of us having a double bed! Location was very good for the airport. Also there was an excellent pub 100 metres down the road. Great for an evening meal after a few hours of driving.

We had a family room but no lift ..we had cases and had to go up 2 flights of stairs with my children w cases. The toilet wouldn’t flush and it was very noisy in our room with children running around the corridor and people talking outside very loud. Staff were lovely, rooms were dated and had a stale smell like an old folks home. Again the staff were friendly and helpful but that’s the only positive.

Nothing- I have put in a complaint to the hotel chain website- want the single room refunding as we could have all stayed in the family room. Fixtures hanging off the walls - awful experience. Went to reception to ask to speak to the manager and was told that there wasn’t a manager . Waiting to hear the response to my request for a partial refund from Britannia hotels.
