Beautiful house, full of history, character and charm. Rural location set in a small hamlet not far from Hawes. Everything was provided for and the host, Anna, replied immediately to messages. Our grandchildren loved exploring the house and the gardens attracted a lot of wildlife. The aga kept the kitchen warm throughout, heating was adequate not to light the fires of a night. Countersett has that cosy cottage feel . I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

It was very local to everything. Didn’t get chance to sleep there or have breakfast due to a family member taking ill and we had to leave late evening!

The presentation at breakfast was charming and I had my first strawberries of the year! I was offered as an extra treat some salmon and it was a childish delight to find a whole bar of chocolate waiting for me in my room! The location is perfect for local attractions and my hosts were kind and friendly.

Room was exactly as expected and the communication with owner was great. We were running a little late and the owner explained how to gain access to our room as we finally arrived at 10pm! We all jumped straight into bed and had a great nights sleep. We left at 8.30am the next morning and said goodbye to the owner as we left. I would use this site again if needed. It was fun sleeping in a bunk bed again!

The views were spectacular, what a lovely garden with a lot of space outside for a great time with family and friends the interior of the hotel was super suave, the room we had was room 20 and it contained the beautiful copper bath we’re you can watch the tv in the tub which was a nice touch. Had a really nice LP player with Bluetooth. Also had a separate shower room and with it being on the ground floor view was lovely over the hills. The staff, resteraunt and hotel are a good 10/10! Would definately stay here again!!
