The bar & restaurant was exceptional food is amazing with a varied menu. Hat off to the chef/s food was very tasty. Staff in the bistro are also very pleasant and friendly.
The view from the room is fantastic and a nice touch from the property providing a telescope & binoculars.

Excellent location, very clean and excellent staff
The location to Lancaster University where we were visiting my daughter. All the staff that helped us throughout our stay were absolutely wonderful- warm, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, very tasty and fresh. Sunday roast was one of the best we have had in a restaurant. Spa exceeded our expectations.room was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel has a homely vibe from the welcome of a blasing fire on arrival to cheerful and freindly staff.
This is not a regular well known hotel brand, it is quirky and utterly fabulous if you want to stay in a castle. There are no tv's in the room but there is a full size snooker table available for guests. You do need to retire to bed earlyish (9.30/10pm) so they can lock up the castle but we found this quite Agatha Christie! The food is great and loads of it (we had dinner and breakfast). Also great location for Lancaster University.
Lovely place to stay overnight while visiting Lancaster University. Our request for a late check-in was accommodated and the guy working there very kindly phoned up the local pub to see if they were still serving food for us. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Great breakfast. Beautiful location
I would recommend this to anyone dropping their children to Lancaster university or going to visit them. This hotel is right inside the Uni campus and you walkable distance of 200m only
Excellent location near to Lancaster University as we were dropping off a fresher! Lovely spot, beautifully decorated room, comfortable mattress, and a nice breakfast which was included in the price. We also had a lovely sunset walk along the footpath just down the lane from the pub, which we enjoyed before have a lovely meal (also good value).
Beautifully cosy & clean. Really comfy beds, we all slept really well. We were so cosy & comfy in the evening we decided not to go out! I would thoroughly recommend this lovely little house. We were up for the Roses varsity event at Lancaster university. We will definitely book again when it returns in two years time.
I use Lancaster University Guest Rooms when I pick up my son from uni. As they are on-campus they are VERY convenient, and whilst they are basic they are also very cheap, which is the main attraction. Functional, and the check-in and out system is straight forward. We have also used these rooms for short Lake Distric breaks. The southern Lakes are only 45 mins away by car and the accommodation is so much cheaper than Ambleside hotels!
The location is perfect for people having to get to the Lancaster University everyday. The main bus station is only 5 minutes away from the location. The city centre is also within the walking distance, not to mention that a huge Sainsbury's is just in front of the place.
The breakfast was succulent and you can ask whatever you like. Of course it was a menu breakfast, however you can merely ask whatever you want. My son wants to go to Lancaster University and we went for a visit to the University.
We stay at Stork hotel and feel at home. Away from Mauritius and feeling at home is a good feeling.
Will be back in September and every six months.
