This is a hotel located just across the street from the beach and it is very affordable! It has a retro charm - it's clean, quiet, and everything was comfortable. The hotel location is a 10.

The hotel location is a 10. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and we were able to upgrade to a nicer room. My only disappointment was the extra $50 per night in fees and the $33 per night parking charge when there was ample parking and we parked ourselves. This should definitely be included in the cost. We literally spent $80+per night extra than we expected.

We loved the old mission and spend a lot of time in the hotel. I didn‘t like the pier. Everywhere were cars and parking lots instead of nice sitting opportunities. there were a lot of homeless people, too.

    Santa Barbara was absolutely beautiful!!!

Santa Barbara was absolutely beautiful!!! It was really lush and green there! The wildflowers were blooming everywhere! The mountains and hills were super lush and green and very beautiful! The Botanical Gardens are incredible and are filled with poppies and wildflowers! The Mission, Courthouse, State Street, Stearns Wharf, and Alice Peck Park are all amazing places to visit! The weather was a perfect 73 degrees for most of my trip, until the last day. The people were all very nice and pleasant to deal with. Brophy's, at the Harbor has the best fish and chips that I have ever had!! There were some whales right off of the Harbor that I was privileged to see! There was also an awesome feeding frenzy that brought in hundreds of pelicans and cormorants to dive into the water at the same time!! It was phenomenal to watch. People who have lived in Santa Barbara all of their lives have never seen anything like it!!! It was an absolutely amazing trip!

We visited in February when unknown to us was the film festival, the weather was perfect, town seemed quiet even with film festival which was a bonus, still able to grab tickets. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, lots with outdoor eating with patio heaters. We enjoyed the SB Whale watching trip we did, small exclusive boat made us feel VIPs and saw plenty of humpback whales. Easy to walk around the town, but also easy to drive and explore neighbouring Montecito

Great place to visit, especially with wonderful weather.

Great place to visit, especially with wonderful weather. For seafood, Lure is amazing!!! Chad's and Cajun Kitchen are great breakfast spots. If you are there on Sunday, see the Art/Craft Market at the Beach. Lots of amazing stuff and all the vendors are so friendly. Also, a huge recommendation to Olive Hill Farms in Los Olivos. Great place for oils and vinegars.

I picked this place because I wanted to stay in a place that was very stately. I was not disappointed. the old Spanish style was both endearing and upscale. the warm cookies offered at my arrival, jazz and Cuban music echoing through the halls the one and only enchanting old style elevator that took its time to do its job were touches that enhanced my hotel experience . the proximity of the hotel is really I. the heart and soul of downtown Santa Barbara and I really appreciated that because I could explore, walk or Lyft anywhere from here.

This hotel was amazing! Our room was basically an apartment with a kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom with a walk in closet. I do like to clean my room upon arriving to a hotel and it was already spotless. When we requested our room to be cleaned, they were so quick, but thorough! Breakfast was light (egg bites, yogurt, pastries), but very good. The location was awesome. Near the beach, gas stations, freeway, restaurants, and little markets. Probably the best hotel we've ever been to!

Great location for us, clean, and plenty of space. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We visited the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden and did some wine tasting near State Street. The hotel was centrally located for us. We really loved the restaurant across the street for dinner, Via Maestra 42. There were also some shops across the street including a grocery store and a lovely place for coffee and pastry, Renaud's Patisserie and Bistro.

For reasons out of our control we checked in very late and the front desk was so very accommodating, which is just what we needed at the end of the travelling day. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the location and quietness of the neighborhood. We also had breakfast in the restaurant and both the food and service were excellent. When we visit Santa Barbara again, we will definitely book this hotel.

On our 15 day road trip, we stayed at 10 different accommodations. This is by far our favorite and we stayed at some very nice hotels along the way. Room was spacious and well decorated. Bed was comfortable and the balcony was very nice. The location was amazing and we loved being able to cross the street and be on the beach. Staff here was very friendly. We booked a family suite as we had 2 adult kids with us. It worked perfectly and avoided all sharing one room. Room was clean and comfortable and we had a great view of the beach. Loved the fire pits for chilling out in the evening. Pool was small but well serviced with sun loungers etc. The hotel offered bikes for touring around. Loved Santa Barbara and would definitely go back.

the location was great; near the beach and walkable to a few eateries. But not right in the snazzy part of downtown. (fine with me) The beds were comfortable, the room clean. You can tell it's an older building, but they recently repainted the rooms. The pool looked great, we didn't swim but a family was enjoying it. Nice that it is off the street.

Delightful hotel just 2 blocks back from Santa Barbara beach, and just a short stroll into town. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and there's adequate parking (needs to be booked and paid for). Staff are extremely helpful, the welcome drinks are a nice touch as is the endless supply of coffee and fresh baked cookies in the lobby.

Rooms were well appointed. Pool and patio area looked very nice but we didn’t use either. We only spent one night and in late and out early. We don’t get much of a chance to employ motels or hotels in Santa Barbara because we have children who have homes there but were unavailable for us to stay.
