We were able to self check-in. We were travelling on a motorbike, the restaurant staff allowed us to park it under the canopy at the back as it was raining all night. We liked the shared kitchen area, breakfast was left in the fridge in the morning in a marked take-away box. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. The room was good, clean and comfortable with a good view of the fjiord.. The shared bathrooms were very clean and readily available. There are 2 showerooms with toilet and sink. 2 toilets with sinks. The co-op is across the road if you need it.
The restaurant below was really good...I suggest you book ahead. Contact them separately.

Very clean and very large appartment. Despite being on a main road, the traffic sound was not an issue for us because the apartment is on the fjord side. The place is furnished with Ikea products but in a tasteful way and everything you need is there. It even included AppleTV with plenty if things to watch if we would have wished so, but the balcony and sofa with a view are also nice for quietly reading a book.
Very friendly host who checked us in and were happy to help with ahything we asked for. Nice shop downstairs, which has everything you need to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner plus some nice local products and souvenirs. The food in the restaurant downstairs is what you can expect from a roadside place: decent for a reasonable price. Not bad for what it is.
We stayed one night and it was perfect for a stopover.

These apartments have a fabulous view of the fjord. They're in quite an isolated location but it was perfect for us as we were driving through that way on our way south. Nice modern apartment with a small kitchen area and balcony overlooking the fjord.
We were a bit confused on arrival as there is no actual reception, just a shop and cafe but the lovely staff in the shop do the check in and showed us to our room.
There is plenty of parking right outside.

The location is near the fjord shore, the people are very friendly and supply tons of information what you can do in the surroundings.
We did several hikes and went up to the glacier.
The owners are very open and friendly which gives you an at home feeling.
The studio has a induction stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and water kettle.There is cutlery and pans.
A nice modern shower and a washing machine.
You can park your car in front of the studio. The entire studio is at ground level.
We stayed for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay.
We are staying at this hotel mainly for our dinner at Iris Restaurant (Salmon Eye), so the location is perfect, only 8 mins drive to the dock. Beautiful Fjord view from our rooms. The food at the restaurant is good, staff are friendly and accommodating. Perfect stay for a vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the main cities.
There is quite small choice of accommodation in Rosendal and this place was the cheapest on booking after camping places. Good well equipped kitchen giving one a possibility to prepare your own food. Located in the center of Rosendal, only several meters away from the grocery store. Free public parking lot several meters away.
This time in Rosendal - we wanted to have dinner at Gjøa, taxi was unavailable, so the Reception team organized for one of them to take us over. Such a service minded team!!!!!
Fantastic view from rooms and restaurant. Very spacious. Good sauna. Good food for Norway. And rosendal is such a lovely place. Very peaceful place. Mostly Norwegians clients.
Good buffet breakfast on offer, the room was spacious with a great view of the fjord. Sizeable car park and hotel is close to the other (not many) amenities of the town.
