It was nice to have a wood heater with all the necessary supplies in the middle of the living room. Host provided some stuff that we forgot to pack. Blankets were really warm and cozy for a winter night.

I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception and a well informed manager. I had been upgraded to a better room at their initiative. Happy with that! And a very good breakfast - much more than I need in the morning. Great location for a ski vacatiion with ski area shuttlebus stopping close by if you need it. You can take your last run all the way down close to the hotel. Good local restaurants and bars very close by - less than a minute out the door. The hotel used to be the local hub before new construction at the resort base was developed. I have skied and arranged many ski trips with friends and colleagues to Hemsedal since 1986, staying at the hotel on several occasions and have many good memories from after ski and dinners at the hotel amongst the other possibilities "downtown" Hemsedal.

You know Las Vegas has The Strip you go and find all the casinos, well Hemsedal also has The Strip, but it is all they have. You can find everything from real estate, clothing stores, grocery store, different restaurant and hotels + gas station. They also have the start for the adventure park as well were you jump on the zip line over the river. You can also take the paths along the river and look at the adventures in the park. Hemsedal I known for the skiing, but you can do things here all year. hikes to Skogshorn or other mountain rages. Enjoy your trip, were it might lead you.

You can walk to most locations but if you use a car you can get to the best hiking spots.

Hemsedal was absolutely beautiful as well as quiet. There are some long lines for the surface lift at the very bottom of the mountain but that is to be expected - otherwise I found most lifts had little to no wait. The locals and staff are very kind!
Everything about this hotel was A M A Z I N G.
The views, the food, the SPA!!!, the staff. I could never imagine that the quality of everything would’ve been that high. It’s so price worthy & it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at. I have no words. It’s magical in every way. The view from the restaurant (the view from anywhere in this hotel) was insane. I am definitely coming back! (Also the most comfortable bed EVER!!!!!) can’t recommend this enough 🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️
The bedrooms are a bit small, but otherwise this place is great. We had a nice view from our window, the living / dining / kitchen was spacious, the kitchen functional and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there's a supermarket and places to eat minuites from your door.
I've arrived the hotel around an hour earlier that the advertised checkin time, yet the staff were still welcoming me, and upgraded my room to a much bigger room with spectacular view for free. Bonus on that they gave me a 10% discount on the pizzeria restaurant next to them.
A very nice apartment. We would all love to go back. The view was fantastic and it was very nicely decorated and had all the amenities you could wish for. A short and easy walk to the ski lift.
