Hesla Farm is one of the cosiest places we ever had been. A large garden with apple trees and chickens running around is surrounded by wooden buildings. We had a large two room apartment plus a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bathroom. Located at Gol it is at one of the crossroads in Southern Norway. I the evening we had nice talks at the outdoor open fire place with guests from other countries. Norwegian hospitality with a touch and warmth of South America.
We came after long weekend so it wasn't many people in Hesla Apartments. We got a bigger apartament and we spend amazing 3 days in Gol. The owner is so friendly and helpful. We got fresh baked bread, homemade jam and eggs. Everything was clean, cosy and pleasantly. Interior design is also great. I really recommend this place!
Nothing! on the edge of town (not central), in need of renovation, the least customer focused staff I’ve seen across 4 continents! I was made to pay inappropriately extra for a mistake between the agent and hotel booking system. Then the hotel failed to deliver the service that I was made to pay extra for it.
Hotel very easy to find, check in was quick, room was clean and comfortable and it had a small balcony so we were able to sit outside for a couple of hours in the evening. Breakfast was good and there's a terrace you can sit out on if the weather is fine. Car park is behind the main part of the hotel.
warm shower with nice pressure, towels and blankets with nice clean smell, nice feeling of being alone, wonderful view, nice river just next to it. BBQ Option on the terrasse next to the Waterfront. (Just be aware its a Cabin, not a Hotel, bathroom outside, simple cooking equipment)
The hotel has a lot to offer for families and groups on holiday.. many activities, especially in the winter. Hotel structure is big and plenty of options .. Restaurant and bar areas are very large. Good breakfast.
Sentral location. Tropicana swimming is within the hotel premises. Nice ambience in the hotel. Lots of arcade machines for children. Billiards and bowling all in the same hotel. Kids had a great time in the pools.
