The place was spacious and our little one loved the small sailor details in the apartment. Good air conditioning! Amazing location, easy to walk to and from beach and nearby restaurants.

Location good, staff wonderful, electric going out for hours was horrible and there was no backup generator except for lobby. I live at beach in the states and all hotels here have backup generators for entire hotel in order to not inconvenience guests.

I visited friends in Ostia but overall the salis beach...
I visited friends in Ostia but overall the salis beach restaurant is lovely this is where we hired our sun loungers for the week at 200 euros and we was there all day … we also looked around and the people there are so friendly and helpful… we also dined at the old west restaurant in Ostia centre and the food was amazing and the staff were brilliant… but I do recommend to have a walk around Ostia because it is a quaint cute little town with such a lot
Going on… it’s not rowdy or hustle and bustle but very calm and tranquil,,,,, there is also some little
Market places which are very reasonable priced and the supermarkets and bakeries and butchers are so cheap but good quality and with lots of branded names as well

Lido di Ostia is a small town, but it has everything one needs for a comfortable stay and a great beach vacation near Rome. There are plenty of restaurants around, and many grocery shops. You can select the beach you like, and public transport can take you to the Fiumicino airport or the center of Rome.
As long as it's near the airport, don't be surprised that during the day you can see airplanes really close either landing or departing depending on the glissade. but it was fun and the sound didn't bother us.

There are two metro stations next to the facility, but we would recommend to use metro station Stella Polare, it is closer than Lido Centro.
Also we would recommend to visit Plinius beach (pay beach), beacause Lido Ostia beach is to dirty (extremely)

This was my third trip there.
This was my third trip there. I love the vibe , the fun atmosphere, the feeling of safety as a woman travelling solo, the pier, the beaches, the walks by the sea. The weather of course. The food , especially at Golden Italy restaurant.

Lido di Ostia Is a fantastic place and a great alternative...
Lido di Ostia Is a fantastic place and a great alternative if you don't want to stay in Rome. But we never got to stay at the Appt Gaudi, be careful booking with an Appartment managed by Ostia Holiday.
Owner is really helpful and kind person. Apartament was clean and look just like a picture. Lido centro - suburban railway station maximum 10 min walk from the flat. Excellent communication with Rome center (about 40 min drive). Nearby grocery store. Beach on the other side of the street (private one), excellent public beach about 5 min walk. I highly recommend this apartment if you want to combine rest on the beach and sightseeing city centre of Rome.
The hosts were very kind and helpful. They agreed for us to have a late arrival and even waited for a few extra hours, as our flight was delayed. They even provided a nice breakfast and coffee even if was not included in the advert. The apartment itself is nice and spacious, fully equipped, situated close to the beach and restaurants. The Lido Centro trains station is 10 min away and from there you get to the center of Rome in 30 min.
The room is spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. If you are looking for a relaxing time, the hotel is across the beach.
It's far from Rome city, but there is a metro station about 7 to 10 walk from the hotel. There are a few very good restaurants nearby. I liked the beach clubs which are a few minutes walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I met 3 staff member over the course of my stay and all of them were very friends and accommodation. They communicated well in English and guided me whenever I needed help. Would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone travelling to Italy. There is no train service to this hotel and you need to take the Cuatral bus from the airport. Please don’t get confused.
