Place is really beautiful, awesome vibes .Locals are helpful , food is good . Only problem is when you plan your trip , check the weather for upcoming 2-3 days , because continuous rain for the whole day or may be multiple days can ruin your trip . i will recommend to visit this place in Nov - April and may . And yes don’t forget to bring your jackets , warm clothes , Raincoat , umbrella with you . Cause weather changes here like humans. 😝

Shillong is a very nice state capital city in the North Eastern part of India. This is a valley surrounded by mountains, so you can have great sign seeing options.
There are few nice places to visit in the city itself like the hydari park, st xavier's museum, lake etc. The heart of the city, Police Bazar, is very crowded. But it has some good shops and restaurants.
The food scene of Shillong is limited. There are few good restaurants in Police Bazar and in the surroundings. But mostly closed after 7/ 730 in the evening.
If you are staying outside PB, you will have very few food options. And the quality are not good too. Like average noodles and momos.
however, there are a number of places to visit outside Shillong. The Cherrapunjee area, The Mawliyong area with the living root bridge etc. Jowai and Krang Shuri falls, though a bit far

Peaceful place with helping people and their everlasting smiles and hospitality makes this place worth for everything. people here are simple and genuine, they are happy in the little ,they lead a simple life and work hard for it. I have not seen child labour here. There were No chotu's on any of the shops . Taxis are available everywhere or otherwise you can walk up. A life is not enough to explore shillong. I went to east khasi hills and got thrilled with its beauty. But there is much much more...
It's a beautiful place. Those who love nature will find beauty in every small Little thing here. Would like to come again and again.

I recently took a trip to Shillong and was blown away by its beauty. The city is surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, making it a nature lover's paradise. Overall, I would highly recommend Shillong as a travel destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Make sure you get a personal bike for rent to explore everything.
Amari's Inn was our last minute booking as we didn't get anything else but thanks to God for not getting anything else! This place is awesome and we have found our forever home in Shillong. Laiwar is a humble person with a positive and happy mindset who owns this beautiful and super comfortable home! He takes very good care of his guest and helps in every possible way. They maintain the proper cleanliness and hygiene. Location is also very nice and just 1.5km from the Laitumkhrah.
The Arcadia Resort is an amazing place to relax and rejuvenate in tranquil. The resort is located on a hilltop with an amazing view in front of it. The hotel manager Mr. Jiten is a very helpful person, taking care of each and everything you need during your stay. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The food was amazing. No Bar service. Need to carry your own booze. The swimming pool is an added benefit with a mesmerising view. A must visit place for an amazing stay.
This place is located to Oxford Hill in Shillong around 1.5 km to Police Bazar. The location is quite good with calm and quiet. If someone prefers to stay in Shillong without too much noise it can be a great experience for them. The staffs are exceptional in their behaviour and address any problems immediately. The interior and the amenities are very good.

The entire hotel staff may it be the reception, the house keeping or the restaurant were extremely cordial. They keep up to the expected Meghalayan cultures. The property is elite and relaxing.
The location was perfect with access to shopping malls and city center. The staffs were very helpful and super friendly. The hotel had a classic decoration which felt warm and homely.
