Nusa Penida is hard enough to get to by the time you buy boat tickets, get to the harbour, wait around, board a small hot fast boat and getting off the other end you need a driver to collect you as its busy, dusty and hot. You want to get off that boat and into an air-conditioned car straight away and be taken to your hotel.
The island is beautiful; however, you will need a scooter, a car or driver. Its isolated and unless you love walking in the heat long distances you will need transport to see the sights.
The night life is quiet, I think it's an island of relaxing and day adventures with not a lot of activity at night from what i saw.

We hired a motorbike to get around. The roads are quite treacherous but if you are able to ride a bike I would highly recommend it. Many people catch taxi's but we didn't want to be stuck in a hot car all day and the bike was lots of fun.

We rented a driver for 2 days and he took us to the tourist spots. The road is very small and curvy but our driver was good. The views were amazing. We had to eat at the hotel and we enjoyed the food. One day we ate at a very exclusive restaurant far away from the hotel.

If you are into breathtaking views and decent hikes up and down the steep stairway cases, sometimes rewarded with a pleasant swim in the refreshing waters - you are on to the winner! Ensure you check that the snorkelling company has all the gear and sizes you or your group requires as they will not likely return to the beach to accommodate the feet size for your fins.
We've stayed in the Bungalows across the road from the main area. They were clean, spacious and confortable.
The staff are very nice and helpfull, always have a solution for any queries. We rented a scooter and went around the island.
The place is a 10 minuite (or less) walk to Crystal Bay, but there is not much around so bring cash. You can have dinner at the warungs on the beach (they close early) or in the hotel retaurants (there are only few options, but all are good).
The meals at Ananta were very nice.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms a nice. It’s a small paradise in the mountains.
The pool is very clean and doesn’t smell horrible like chlor thats very nice and very rare. The food in the restaurant is also amazing
If you plan to male a tour book directly with the hotel I did the mistake and booked with a company that was way overpriced.
It was one of the best hotels in Indonesia for me and the super friendly stuff made my stay perfect. As a solo travler woman I felt very safe!
Owners of the place took really good care of us and the place with its grander and fruits is awesome. The breakfast is really good especially the banana pancakes. It is nice that nusa penida is not so full of tourists and lacks a lot of services (like fancy restaurants) which would ruin the place like on Bali. It is the right starting place for a motorbike rides for all the sight seeing on the island. The crystal bay is absolutely amazing and is in walking distance trough forest or road.
The hosts were really nice to us and listened to all of our questions carefully. We had the chance to discover the beauty of the landscapes for a really good price.
Our host was always happy to help us with a sincere smile. I recommand it to anyone who goes to Nusa Penida and I would definitely advise friends to stay there if they ever go to the island.
The breakfasts were satisfying and we slept very well in our room with AC.

It was so quaint and beautiful. I loved the little bungalows inside and out. I love the set up of the room and that the bathroom was attached to the room, but you could see the outside from it.
There is an ATM within walking distance, one of the best restaurant (Jiglo) I’ve ever been to just a few doors down, and a wonderful place to get very cheap massages. Just a few doors down as well. The harbor is just a quick walk down street close to the hotel. Loved the location!
Me and my wife were spending 3 days of our honeymoon in Tunjung Hill. Staff was great and very helpful with everything, they order really cheap driver for you, help with boating- they do reservation for you, provide transport from harbor to hotel if you need it with really good price and whatsmore also recommended and booked attractions. The view from room and pool was amazing. It is for sure the best hotel in Nusa Penida.
The property was breathtaking. I loved that you could hang out in the loft and just take in the beautiful view. The room was beautiful and the stone tub felt luxurious. It didn’t feel like a regular hotel, it felt more immersive into island living.
Komang and Rixy were amazing and really took care of us with whatever we needed. They made getting to Nusa Penida a smooth process by arranging our transport and boat tickets.
This hotel is in the center of the island and pretty high in elevation (so is noticeably cooler than the other parts of the island!) The staff are well trained, polite and friendly. There are possibilities for massages in the yoga center and a good size pool. The restaurant is pretty good, though a little more expensive than comparable hotels. The rooms are comfortable with nice gardens around.

Such an awesome stay! Putu is incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay on Nusa Penida a huge success! We stayed for two nights. We went snorkeling and did two half-day tours (east side and west side of island) with a driver that the hotel organized, so we got to see as much of the island as possible! Breakfast was delicious too! Everything about our stay was pleasant :)
This is such a beautiful hotel. We really recommend a beautiful place in nusa penida because there isn’t as much to do on the island especially during the night and so a good hotel is totally worth it. The best parts were the massive villas and the amazing infinity pools with the view of volacones. My goodness we couldn’t stop admiring them.
Rooms are nice. The view is Awesome. The rooms are extremely peaceful. Breakfast is good but repetitive. You can rent scooter from the reception at a good price. We spent a lot of our time in Nusa Penida discovering the island so we came to the Hotel only to sleep. Overall, good value for money.
