The pool was nice and in a good spot, although we didn’t end up using it.
Breakfast was pretty disappointing. We got the pancakes and french toast package, both of which were pretty disappointing experiences, though we weren’t expecting much to begin with.
The rooms were quite spacious and provided enough basics of what we needed but nothing special.

Nusa Penida is hard enough to get to by the time you buy...
Nusa Penida is hard enough to get to by the time you buy boat tickets, get to the harbour, wait around, board a small hot fast boat and getting off the other end you need a driver to collect you as its busy, dusty and hot. You want to get off that boat and into an air-conditioned car straight away and be taken to your hotel.
The island is beautiful; however, you will need a scooter, a car or driver. Its isolated and unless you love walking in the heat long distances you will need transport to see the sights.
The night life is quiet, I think it's an island of relaxing and day adventures with not a lot of activity at night from what i saw.

We hired a motorbike to get around. The roads are quite treacherous but if you are able to ride a bike I would highly recommend it. Many people catch taxi's but we didn't want to be stuck in a hot car all day and the bike was lots of fun.

We rented a driver for 2 days and he took us to the tourist spots. The road is very small and curvy but our driver was good. The views were amazing. We had to eat at the hotel and we enjoyed the food. One day we ate at a very exclusive restaurant far away from the hotel.

If you are into breathtaking views and decent hikes up and down the steep stairway cases, sometimes rewarded with a pleasant swim in the refreshing waters - you are on to the winner! Ensure you check that the snorkelling company has all the gear and sizes you or your group requires as they will not likely return to the beach to accommodate the feet size for your fins.
We stayed at the Kama for 2 nights during a 3 day trip to Nusa Penida. The hotel is perfectly situated right between the east and south of the island making it easy to see all the highlights. Also, the hotel very conveniently offers transportation such as scooter rental and private driver.
The hotel itself is brand new and beautiful, very suitable for couples. The pool was open 24/7 making it possible to swim under the stars.
The service and staff was excellent, we would like to thank Wayan in particular for taking such good care of us!
The best place to stay in Nusa Penida! I didn’t stay in hostel, I stayed with family! The owners made my stay there so memorable, always helpful and friendly, caring and trying to help! They even drove me to the harbour when I leaved and introduced me their culture and local life. I loved everything about this place, good location, many things around that tourists need, and pool inside which was very helpful also! Everything that you need and even more you can find there! I miss this place already and would definitely come back!
Maua is a great boutique hotel, probably the nicest one on Nusa Penida. With a great view on the main island of Bali and Mount Agung. We loved the hotel so much that we didn't feel like going out. Our room had a private pool but we enjoyed the main pool, which is bigger than the ones in other hotels in Bali. The food was good with a special mention to the breakfast menu and the Chinese New Year dinner. Also the staff was nice with easy check-in and check-out.
Location / good to reach the famous spots around the island. Clean and big room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast and amazing view with a infinity swimming pool. The most friendly staff named Putu! :))) Very kind & helpful! Will be staying again at Beten Juwet at our next time visiting Nusa Penida again! (P.S: You need a motorbike to go around - the cheapest & the most quick way! - watch the roads!)
When you come to Nusa Penida and would like to explore all beautiful places, this place is more than amazing for you stay! Young coconut like welcome drink that just came from palm tree, very friendly manager, she know a lot about island and it’s history, very quiet and nature place with amazing view, it was best time in this cottage, live like in nature but in very comfortable and clean house.
Everything was perfect! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, the aircon works well and the breakfasts were delicious. The pool is bigger than we expected. Beautiful, peaceful location just a short walk away from crystal bay. We rented a bike from the hotel, booked taxis to and from the port and extended our stay, hassle free! Would definitely return.
absolutely beautiful view and a very nice pool area. the staff were extremely helpful and helped us book a day trip around the island. furthermore they helped us with transport around the island, as the restaurant at the hotel has not opened after Covid-19 yet. they offer breakfast and the banana pancakes are delicious. we were also helped ordering take-away food at the hotel once.
Excellent service, rooms and view. This is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in Bali so far. The hotel is new and very well maintained. The roads to the hotel are a bit dark at night but this is the case for all of Nusa Penida. The staff are very pleasant and considering. The room even had a mosquito repellent, sub block, lip balm..etc! I was quite happy and surprised!

Amazing view of the ocean from rooms(make sure to book direct beach front rooms and not ones at the back with partial views). I've stayed at similar beach hotels with a direct view but this beats them. Room was also nice and comfortable. Directly outside your room you have your own sunbathing chairs or beany bags.
The hotel is in the perfect location, only a few minutes walk from the ferry. The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff at the front desk organised everything for us including manta Rey snorkelling and day trips around the island. I would recommend here to everyone.
the place so close to crystal bay, the way from the main road to enter the hotel its a bit tough but not really hard to go there. the staff really helpful a lot and especially with finding taxi to go to the port on the spot because it was rainy and i cant go there by bike.
The room was big enough, bed comfortable and shower worked well (even though the water gets cold after only 5 minutes, so not enough hot water for 2 people).
Breakfast is simple but really good, better than other hotels we’ve stayed in Bali.
