Hotel Review: Diogenis in Tsagkarda Village**
Our stay at Diogenis in Tsagkarda was truly unforgettable! This charming hotel, nestled in the heart of the village, is run by a wonderful woman who went above and beyond to make us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Her warmth and genuine care for her guests made our experience special.
Every morning, we were greeted with a delicious homemade breakfast that showcased fresh, local ingredients – a perfect start to the day. The hospitality extended beyond the meals; she was always attentive, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained, blending traditional Pelion architecture with modern comforts. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Tsagkarda.
Highly recommend Diogenis for anyone looking for a welcoming, homey atmosphere and a truly memorable stay!

Nice village, widespread on the mountain side.
Nice village, widespread on the mountain side. Lots of excellent restaurants. A few old churches and chapels (many of which require that you find the local priest in order to enter). Nice beaches, Mylopotamos and Fakistra.
Amazing scenic place, combining forest, mountain, beaches and taverns. St Paraskevi Square with one of the oldest Plane tree in Europe, surrounded by scenic cafe was beautiful and we visited often. Just opposite to this square was an amazing restaurant The Lost Unicorn, where we had a romantic dinner with live piano classics with an absolutely lovely and fairy tale atmosphere. We visited Papa Nero, Ntamouchari, Mylopotamos, Agii Saranta and Fakistra beach. The last one was really magnificent, almost tropical with crystal clear blue and green waters. To approach the beach we had to walk a mountain rocky and slippery path, requiring shoes for slippery conditions, but once we arrived it was stunning!

Location of the house is excellent in the nice mountain village of Tsagkarada. You really feel welcome and spoiled with the house owner, very nice lady! Room very clean, design excellent! The trips to the beaches take btw 35 min (eg. Monk Paradise beach) -18 min (Fakestra beach), but expect you need to drive down and up again on mountain roads every day.

My favorite place is the square with a church and another square with the old plane tree. Every restaurant and cafe is very nice and romantic. This place is more for couples and people who wants really to relax. Clima is fantastic, you need about 30 to 40 minutes to the really nice beaches. You need a car here. I will come next year for sure.

We loved the secluded pebbly beach and the small port.
We loved the secluded pebbly beach and the small port. Visiting the huge, antique tree in the center of the village is a must. There are many good places to eat in Tsagarada, especially goid Aleka's restaurant. A little on the expensive side, but worth it! There's also a grocery store with all that you need. With a car, it's easy to get to everywhere , but the holes in the roads have to be fixed. We had a wonderful time, just wish it was longer.

We stayed for a week.
We stayed for a week. This is a fabulous area for walking, it’s really beautiful. The accommodation was very attractive and comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted. I will always remember sitting outside our villa and watching the sunrise over the Agean. Added to this the staff were exceptional - Vassily provided a wealth of information about the area, and its restaurants and was always available to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The girls who cleaned did a fab job too. We hope to return one day.

Hospitality was close to perfection. We've travel a lot, but we have never got so many tips, suggestions and useful recommendations about the area as we've got from Vassilis, our host.
House is large, comfortable, clean and very nice, with beautiful terasse and outstanding view to the sea and area.
Pelion is a very challenging place due to its geographics, but gives a completely different perpective of having vacation close to the sea. We are happy we were here. I wouldn't give nothing but 10 to this place.
I consider myself a very difficult critic, but hats off to this establishment—this is one of the best places I have ever been. The rooms feel like they are from a different planet, set within nature as if you're staying in the woods. They are super clean and traditional, each with a cozy fireplace. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had: fresh, homemade, and not pre-made like most hotel offerings. You will taste the most amazing pies and delicacies here.
An intimate hotel with a homey atmosphere. Spacious rooms designed in an authentic way that matches the atmosphere. A well-kept yard with a spectacular view, the breakfast is perfect thanks to both the delicious food and the view. Every morning a different delicious surprise at breakfast, Nikos the host prepares it himself just a pleasure.
While we did visit the nearby beaches, we were there in a holiday weekend and parking for miles around was just about impossible. So we made great use of the lovely pool. A particular joy was that any music was pleasant and not too loud, unlike the pool area in many Greek hotels, which favour booming hiphop.
Excellent accommodation in a very good location. Perfectly situated to enjoy both the beach and the beautiful Pelion villages. Secluded and quiet with wonderful views of the Aegean.
