We were in room 9. Easy check-in, it was very clean and well-equipped with microwave, fridge. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Not noisy but not the most quiet. The host kindly allowed us to stay until midday for an extra tenner.
On the outskirts of Yeovil, in scenic Somerset, the family-run Preston Hotel offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. The Victorian hotel enjoys an elevated position and also has an ale bar.

We stayed a couple of miles from the town but the area has a couple of museums that we wanted to visit. The Fleet Air Arm and the Motor museum. We had a brilliant meal in Ilchester which is nearby in an Italian restaurant called Nuove, well priced, I would recommend booking.

Yeovil city is a marvellous place for holiday. The serenity of the city is astounding. The beautiful city is welcoming and perfect for holidays. We went for a wedding ceremony. We visited the countryside too.The topography is fabulous.

Yeovil looks as though it has had the guts ripped out of it.
Yeovil looks as though it has had the guts ripped out of it. At the top of town there are a lot of empty and semi-derelict retail properties. The area in the middle is apparently undergoing renovation but again has a large number of empty and derelict properties, including an entire shopping mall. Out of 9 properties in Middle Street, 7 were Betting Shops or Charity shops. Early Sunday morning shows the unfortunate "dwellers" in the town centre- hardly an advert for "come and visit". This is a sad indictment on both Yeovil and society in general.
I would add however that the A&E Department at the Hospital were excellent - full marks.

Sadly, Yeovil town centre is awful.
Sadly, Yeovil town centre is awful. Around half the shops are boarded up/closed down and most of the pedestrianised area is fenced off due to works that have been "in progress" for about 4 years (according to locals). Whilst there might be pleasant areas within the town, there were none to be found right in the central shopping district.

Nice area but Yeovil was busier than I expected.
Nice area but Yeovil was busier than I expected.
Lovely country park but car parking signs were extremely hard to follow or even see / spot once in Yeovil. This could have been due to road works within the town. However, don't let this put you off visiting the country park as it is a liitle gem pratically within the centre of town.

Beautiful old Inn, lots of character and charm, we were late arriving but they had kept the pizza ovens hot so we could enjoy something to eat and a glass of wine, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, beautiful village
The location was very good.
With parking you have to park behind Pizza hut to access the hotel. It's free on Sunday and after 6pm.
We arrived, in room 207, was very small, and the toilet didn't flush.
But we were offered another room, 109, and was a lot bigger, no windows/ventilation had to leave door open to let air in. Was very hot but was given a fan.
Cleanliness was ok, carpet could do with a clean, but sheets and duvet were acceptable.
Hand sanitizer was no where to be seen. (Good job I had some).
Yeovil seemed a bit quiet, but the Room and facilities and amazing shower made my stay very comfortable. Great breakfast in modern classy dining area.
My only concern was parking .. Booking.com showed Free Parking, but it was only after booking I found it was limited first come first served Parking. I couldn’t see the Parking Locations map in reception mentioned and the first 2 car parks said max one hr parking! I did find and overnight Carl park but spent over half hour sorting a parking space out.
Streamside is a comfortable, convenient, modern and well-appointed apartment. We liked that it was within 5 mins walking to Yeovil town centre, and in a very quiet location. The bed was softer than we're used to, but was incredibly supportive and comfortable - we had 3 great nights' sleep! The host was helpful and responded promptly to any queries we had. We heartily recommend this apartment.
The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Yeovil with not so much around it. If someone wants a quiet hotel then this is for you. The Hotel was quite dated though comfy, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and was apologetic about the facilities that were at the time closed. Though in all fairness an email was sent to me a few days before explaining this.
We had a lovely stay at Eton House Hotel. The owners have done an amazing job with the refurbishment of this beautiful building. Our room was bright and spacious and immaculately clean. Just a short walk to Yeovil town centre. The self-check in process was straight forward and communication from the hosts was excellent. Highly recommend. ⭐️
I have had to stay at a few hotels in Yeovil over the last year and this was one of the best and value for money. The room was a decent size, so was the bathroom and was very clean and comfortable but the best bit was the staff who were really helpful and a lovely breakfast too
The apartment is set in a quiet cul de sac and provided the perfect base for our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean and is furnished to a high standard. Yeovil town centre is just a 5 minute drive away with plenty of restaurants to enjoy an evening meal.
We liked the location near to Yeovil and our family who live there. We could walk into Yeovil and used other footpaths. The owners were friendly and helpful when we did have issues with the facilities.
Just a short walk to town centre, exceptional spacious and very nicely appointment, i believe it has just been redecorated, but I can see no reason why the apartment was immaculate
Excellent location for the town centre. The staff were extremely helpful.
The accessible room was just what I needed.
I'd recommend it as a good value place to explore Somerset.
Very comfortable bed, clean room. Within easy walking distance of the town. Great to have a vegan breakfast. Nice to not be a generic room like many modern hotels.
Lovely comfortable apartment. Its very near the town centre but still very quiet and secluded.
Parking is right outside. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Great hotel, Breakfast was cooked fresh, the Bar had a great selections of Gins available. Bedroom was perfect, lovely little peaceful village setting.
