It felt very safe for a lone female traveller. It was conducive to meeting other guests with shared values - but in a quiet way with a quiet room for meditation. It was very homely with cosy bedroom and comfortable bed. It was a great location for town, Tor and springs. My room had a great view of the Tor!

Glastonbury is a must visit town in Somerset. We especially liked the Abbey and spent a lot of time there. We had an evening meal in The Mitre pub diner. It was really great and we would recommend you pay it at least one visit.

A very exciting town, from the shops to the hikes, short walks, spiritual sites and the artsy people. The restaurants are fantastic and the general vibe on the street is worth a day just people watching.

It's an interesting place although pretty quiet on a wet October day.
The Tor and Abbey are the most interesting parts although the Abbey tickets are expensive for what it is.
Not much variety of shops - it's all either "mystical" shops selling crystals, tarot cards, dreamcatchers etc, or else it's charity shops.
Food-wise there are some good pubs for food, a good fish and chip shop and a nice tea room but not much variety of restaurants and a lot of things are closed on a Monday.
However it is an easy distance to other places of interest like Wells Cathedral, Avalon Marshes wildlife centre, Bath or Street shopping village.

Abbey ruins & walk up to the Tor were great.
Abbey ruins & walk up to the Tor were great.
Good choices of places to eat & drink.....shops only for "alternative styles"....great place for 'spiritual' fans & believers.....on occasion, thought we were in the 60s/70s.
For a more 'conventional' market town experience, a visit to nearby Wells is a must, especially on a Saturday when the town square comes alive with artisan food & craft stalls.
The Bishop's Palace Gardens are amazing & the Cathedral is very impressive. Again, plenty of places to eat & drink, but avoid the small front bar in King's Head in the high street, as the locals are not very friendly & quite noisy because of sport on large tv. Bar staff did nothing to alleviate atmosphere either, so moved to rear of building to eatery section, followed by a "Bye!" from locals!

Great place for a couple of days.
Great place for a couple of days. Unfortunately, in common with many places the hospitality venues have suffered over the last few years. The two town centre hotels are looking tired and the choice and quality of evening eateries is poor. One decent Italian and an excellent Fish and chip shop. One Michelin rated restaurant but not much else.

Glastonbury is such a special place and I had an amazing time there. There is so much to see and do. I visited The Tor & St Michael's Tower, Chalice Well (twice as it was so lovely), The White Spring, St Margaret's chapel & Magdalene Almouses, the Goddess Temple, and Glastonbury Abbey. All beautiful places to visit. I also had a fabulous Lomi Lomi Massage at Goddess House and an energy healing treatment there too - both absolutely amazing. I loved that the High Street is not your typical High Street with all the little unique shops. The people were friendly, and the murals were amazing too. Highly recommend a visit

The room was quirky (which was to be expected due to it being a medieval hotel) comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were wonderful, they were kind and considerate and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. We loved every minute of our stay. We ate all our meals in their 5 star food hygiene rated restaurant, the food was tasty, and good value for money and the service was excellent,
we can highly recommend the George and Pilgrims.
It was so well set up, cosy, beautiful location. I travel loads for work, so this felt like a home not a hotel. I loved how close I was to Glastonbury for my meetings but that I felt like I was on holiday.
Being able to cook dinner, breakfast and make up some lunch was also great, saved me a lot of money too.
A new build but with real character and lovely touches. Very comfortable and well equipped. We really appreciated the delicious eggs from the owners hen coop and the beautiful garden. Perfect stopover for our weary family to recharge after the Glastonbury festival.
The Crown Hotel is perfectly located for all the sights of Glastonbury.
It is well maintained and very comfortable .
The food is great and the staff are friendly and helpful .
