The room was beautiful with everything you could need. We had a meal in the Prego restaurant and the food and service was excellent and good value for money. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold. My family used the swimming pool and enjoyed that.

A pleasant, unpretentious village, with charm and all the services you need within a short walking distance. We enjoyed all our meals at the nearby restaurants and pubs. The neighbors were friendly and the village was not overtly touristy.
There are a number of lovely circular walks originating from the center that include walks along the river, across pastures and up the hills into the fell.

It has nice scenery and there are plenty of nice walks. There are some nice places to visit which are only short drives away. Good places to eat are Coppermine in Crook 6 miles away n also Fir Tree inn about the same distance. The village lacks shops in the centre of the village. There are three places to go for a drink the best been the Charles Atwood.
