The building was lovely, very historic. Three of the bedrooms were a good size and the downstairs shower room was spacious. The garden was large and parking for 2 cars was available.

Visited the Weavers Market and the stall holders were friendly. It was slightly smaller than expected. We also travelled to Bradford upon Avon, about 3 miles away, and the area around the canal was lovely.

Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures.
Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures. It makes a good base to explore Bath, Bradford on Avon and Bristol with good train connections. It is quite flat and easy walking. St James is a lovely old church in the centre which rings its bells with pride.

We went to Trowbridge as we used to live there and I was visiting friends. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a cinema. It is in easy reach of Bath but accommodation is cheaper. There is a train station with access to Bath and Bristol and a bus service to Bath so both places easily accessible without a car.

The hotel is often unmanned so nobody may be there to check you in when you arrive. Before travelling, check that the pool and sauna and health suite are operational and not switched off to save money.
Newhouse Farm is a ‘jewel’ of a place to stay for a most comfortable bed and breakfast. I had a spacious en-suite bedroom with comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. All in a gloriously quiet farm location with beautiful gardens, shrubs, trees and flowers surrounding the property. The hosts, Carol and Derick, are homely and welcoming and their ‘Aga cooked’ breakfasts proved to be out of this world. My two night stay with them was very enjoyable and I left feeling as though I had made two very good friends.
This is an excellent, family run hotel. The staff are friendly and polite and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. This is our second day. It was unfortunate that our room had been double booked for the first night but the owner found another hotel for that night. It was more expensive but he paid the difference and gave us a voucher to use in their restaurant on the second night. Mistakes can happen and we were impressed by the way it was dealt with and will certainly stay there again.
It was a great experience staying in a listed manor house. It's tired but we loved the architecture and original features. It was excellent value and half the price of other hotels with a pool in the area so we were more than happy with our stay.
Enjoyed a swim in the pool and were given lovely big towels. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Staff were very welcoming and helpfull. Breakfast was nice too.
We enjoyed our stay here
When greated at reception by Sue she went above and beyond her duties to show us around the venue , make us smile and feel comfortable, the building has great character , sensibly priced and nice facilities , swim pool , gym , breakfast hall and communal get together area that most of the mainstream hotels can’t offer and are more expensive, will be happy to stay again
The staff were great, very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Good local knowledge too. Loved being able to have a daily swim. Choice of communal areas to sit and read or drink, including outdoors. Old building on the outskirts of town so interesting features around the hotel and grounds.
Lovely bed& breakfast hotel really clean, comfy beds and pillows like marshmallow clouds, the breakfast is extra but you get cereals, fruit, full English, toast and tea or coffee, the guys that run the b&b are really pleasant and friendly,we will definitely be returning.
We really enjoyed our all too brief stay at Newhouse Farm.. Carole and Derek were very welcoming and helpful and served an excellent breakfast. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and perfectly situated for our visit to Wiltshire. Thank you both.
I like the interior of the hotel, the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was perfect and staff was forethoughtful. The area is very quite and there is a relaxing atmosphere.
Full English breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked.
The Pool was very good with all required facilities available.
Car park on site very convenient.
Location toTrowbridge town ideal
Great Budget hotel inside, you get what you pay for.
Lovely period building, quirky room and larger pool to cool down in the heatwave.
Very close to Bath.
The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. the parking area was also safe and secure. The hotel location was okay and not too far from the centre.
