Top of the Rock Glamping, hotel in Trefeglwys

Situated in Trefeglwys, 10 km from Maesmawr Golf Club and 18 km from Womaston Castle, Top of the Rock Glamping provides accommodation with access to a garden.

Stunning location, fabulous accommodation. Local farm produce and bbq equipment available for purchase on-site (on the pricier side however as it is locally sourced). Cabin well equipped with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee facilities with cutlery and mugs, and a lovely little electric fire for when the chill set in. Private bathroom had shower/sink/toilet. Towels supplied. Overall very clean given the working farm location. Nearby there are places to eat (recommend the Red Lion only a 2 min drive/10 min walk away). Julia was very helpful and welcoming. There are information sheets in the cabins also with useful numbers/instructions for the cabin and nearby points of interest. No Wi-Fi at the property - for us this was a bonus! A true getaway to the Welsh countryside.

Lovely room with some unique and personal touches. Gorgeous bathroom and coffee, tea, water and biscuits in the room - with some real milk in the mini fridge. Gemma was very helpful and came out to sort a small problem even though it was after 9pm

What an absolute gem in the Welsh hills. Beautiful cottage with everything needed for a perfect short stay. Stylishly Decorated with a flair to the highest standard and so tastefully done. David was the perfect host and we could have happily stayed chatting … such a lovely, warm and funny guy who I’m sure would have been amazing company sat in his fabulous gardens over a couple of cocktails. Perfect for the dogs and the hot tub was an added bonus. Breakfast was excellent as we’d thought it might be, plenty of choice and cooked to perfection Thank you so much … we absolutely loved our stay and hope to revisit

Lovely village with pub and shop, plenty of walks in the area 4 miles from Llanidloes where you have butchers bakers and plenty of cafes also supermarket which is useful, I visited elan valley, lake vyrnwy , aberdovey beach, couldn’t get into Hafran forest because of the snow but I’ve done it many times before, these are just a few place you can visit, Newtown is about 20 mins away with shops and amenities huge Tesco for a large shop.

The small town itself didn't have much there, except for a Spar, quite a few shops were still closed due to Covid. If you want bigger and better shops go to Newtown or llandidlo. Lots of amazing views in this area, but to get there you need to drive through a few scary small roads that barely fits a car down, but it's definitely worth it!
