We had a great stay. It was clean and cosy on a winters night. Guy was very nice and friendly. We would look to stay here again.

The breakfast was very good and was very varied. Because it was Easter we even got offered a hot cross bun. The exhibition gallery at the rear of the property was a lovely way to spend a few minutes. The beds were comfortable and there was hot water. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating apart from initially when it seemed they were not expecting us

Fantastic service, we were running late getting there and called up the hotel to see about getting food, they stopped serving at 9pm and we were due to arrive just after that, so they allowed us to pre-order over the phone to have it ready for when we arrived so we didn't miss out, and the food when we got there was excellent!
We had to leave early so we weren't able to stay for breakfast, but the hotel arranged a packed lunch for us to collect as we left in the morning, above and beyond what we were expecting and very much appreciated!

The cozy, beautiful accommodation offers views that are truly breathtaking, made even better while soaking in the wonderful hot tub. And let's not forget the brilliant gourmet breakfast! Lovely village with pub and shop, plenty of walks in the area 4 miles from Llanidloes where you have butchers bakers and plenty of cafes also supermarket which is useful, I visited elan valley, lake vyrnwy , aberdovey beach, couldn’t get into Hafran forest because of the snow but I’ve done it many times before, these are just a few place you can visit, Newtown is about 20 mins away with shops and amenities huge Tesco for a large shop.

The small town itself didn't have much there, except for a Spar, quite a few shops were still closed due to Covid. If you want bigger and better shops go to Newtown or llandidlo. Lots of amazing views in this area, but to get there you need to drive through a few scary small roads that barely fits a car down, but it's definitely worth it!
