This is a lovely little hotel in a great location in Thirsk. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and well presented with everything you could need for a short stay. The hotel was so quiet and a great place to get some rest whilst exploring Thirsk. I would recommend and will return if I am in the area again. Thank you for a great stay.

The Fourways is an excellent guest house offering real value for money. I was met with a warm welcome from Mark, who showed me to a spotlessly clean room. It was evident that the facilities were suitable for less able people and those who use wheelchairs. (Wide doorways and wet room.). The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast offered a choice of cereals and fruit as well as full English breakfast, which is cooked to order. The property is convenient for the town centre. I recommend the Fourways Guest House to you, and would definitely stay again.

We were staying a couple of miles outside Thirsk for just an overnight stop. Visited the town as had arrived a bit early. Enjoyed a very good coffee in a cafe/bakery one side of the town square. Maybe next time we shall stay in the town itself, and enjoy a few days' visit.

Thirsk is a quaint Yorkshire town with a market square and plenty of eateries and shops. We enjoyed a meal in the local fish & chip restaurant in the market square. The food was tasty and the fish fresh.

Thirsk is a lovely Yorkshire town, I know it quite well and I've visited many times, mainly because I am a fan of James Herriot and the Yorkshire Vet. I love the museum, "The World of James Herriot" and I have been lucky enough to meet Peter Wright and Julian Norton, two nice blokes. I like the pace of life and the people in Thirsk. I would recommend the Bird of Pray centre, I did the half day bird flying experience, where you can get close up to eagles, hawks and owls, amazing!

I loved the James Herriot house , it was really good value and so interesting.
I also went to The Ritz cinema which was fabulous and really cheap .
I love the courtesy crossings in the town , very clever.
A lovely little town with pleasant people.
The location - just yards from the James Herriot Museum and a short walk to the town centre/marketplace.
The house itself - it's lovely and charming, I could happily live in it! The beds are comfortable, the shower is excellent and all the rooms have nice decor. The welcome chocolates were much appreciated too! I would gladly stay again if visiting Thirsk in the future.
The cottage was in an excellent location - quiet but only minutes from the centre of Thirsk with parking outside. The accommodation was lovely, well equipped and comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and sent information before the visit which was clear and helpful. We would certainly return in the future.
Location in the centre of Thirsk with a private car park is hard to beat. One has to accept that it forms part of a very busy Wetherspoons establishment, however our room was at the back of the hotel totally noise free and security systems in place ensure only guests can gain entry to bedrooms.
Breakfast was good, staff excellent. The room was nice and quiet. The hotel is in an excellent position in the centre of Thirsk.
All the staff in the hotel were superb.
