The Three Horseshoes, hotel in Stiffkey

Situated in Warham, 24 km from Houghton Hall, The Three Horseshoes features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar.

We chose the pub due to the location and the promise of a decent pie for the evening meal. We had just finished a week on a boat cruising the Broads and needed a place to relax. The pub is located in sleepy village where rush hour usually involved a tractor or two. Staff were attentive and it was apparent that dogs were very welcome and we can say that all the dogs we saw were all well behaved, just a bit excited. Room was lovely, plenty of hot water, and very easy to drop off to sleep, other than a dodgy fire alarm, but was sorted quickly by the staff. Yes the pies were very good, using local produce. Breakfast was lovely, again good quality, and didn’t leave hungry.

Lovely well equipped village cottage with off street parking. Village is well served with village store and lively public house. Coastal Hopper bus runs through the village which takes the pressure off driving along narrow country lanes.

Lovely, sweet, small cosy cottage. Comfortable. Beds good.

Lovely, sweet, small cosy cottage. Comfortable. Beds good. Nice place to stay and in a small village with pretty houses and a cafe/ shop. On a bus route across the north Norfolk coast so would be easy to access lots of towns/ beaches without using car. A very old cottage and stairs very tight and awkward. Would not be suitable for anyone with any mobility issues. Probably best to make that clear in the information about the cottage.

    Lovely village!

Lovely village! The pub was great and the local shop - the Stiffkey Stores I think it was called - was fantastic. Great area close enough to all of the beach areas but far enough away to make it better value for money.

Great location for the North Norfolk coast.

Great location for the North Norfolk coast. Village has a lovely Village store that serves coffee and fresh cakes. You can walk to Stiffkey salt marshes and there is a lovely pub in the village. The main road is very narrow so care required when walking through the village.

Stiffkey is a linear Norfolk village with a lot of character. With easy walking down to the salt marshes, along the coast path to Blakeney, a must for a peaceful walk, or to observe seabirds, or water fowl and to just take in the views of the of the marshy coastline looking across to the sand dunes of Blakeney point. For a small village Stiffkey has a village shop and a pub which serves food.

A typical small and attractive Norfolk village.

A typical small and attractive Norfolk village. A good base for walking and only a few minutes away from the coast. Hunstanton, Wells, Blakeney, Cley , Sheringham and Cromer are a short drive. The 'Coast Hopper' bus provides an excellent service along the coast.
