Very clean, well-appointed and modern room. Friendly staff. Ate dinner in the pub. Lovely breakfast. I was staying on my own (for work) and felt very at ease and safe.
Amongst idyllic countryside and only 2 minutes’ drive from J27 of the M6 motorway and is surrounded by the Lancashire countryside.

The public areas were immaculate and felt like a luxury hotel. We upgraded our room and it was lovely and spacious. We had dinner at the hotel, along my with breakfast, and the food was exceptional. We loved having a cooked-to order hot breakfast rather than a buffet.

Skelmersdale itself is just okay, but the opportunity to visit the surrounding area is worth it. A visit to Martin Mere Wetlands Trust is a must, also Dunham Massey for the deerpark. Pimbo garden Centre has a fantastic cafe and lovely friendly and helpful staff
The grounds where lovely, hotel was spotless, and the room we stayed in was very spacious and decorated to a high standard, can't fault any thing really, the lady on reception was lovely, friendly and professional, when checking in 03-06-22 late afternoon and checking out the next morning around 10.30am
Buffet food supplied for our evening function was excellent. A full breakfast the next morning just couldn't be faulted. The room was clean, warm & comfortable with all the facitilities one would expected of a quality hotel. The staff were, without exception, freindly, helpful, efficient & discreet.
This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel in the past month. The staff were as usual very friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
