The staff in both Hotel and pub are very helpful. We have stayed before and still maintain it is the staff that make the place good.

Skelmersdale itself is just okay, but the opportunity to visit the surrounding area is worth it. A visit to Martin Mere Wetlands Trust is a must, also Dunham Massey for the deerpark. Pimbo garden Centre has a fantastic cafe and lovely friendly and helpful staff
All of our stay was catered for. I have to follow a gluten free diet and the hotel catered for my requirements really well. Our room was was very clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and polite.
I liked the age of the building and how nicely it was converted into the hotel. Food was lovely and staff were very helpful in regards to assisting our needs.
