The lodge was perfect clean & cosy also dog friendly which is a bonus. We loved the hot tub & seating area on the decking which was enclosed great when you have a dog. It even had ice in the freezer which was a lovely touch & a mini bar. We had a meal in JJ’s restaurant & I’ve got to say it was the best juicy burger I’ve ever had. Breakfast was delivered around 9.30am which was another lovely touch it was delicious the sausages were really tasty, we will definitely be returning, thankyou for a lovely 2 night stay .

Perfect stay for the start of our journey to Northumberland. A group of 10 of us, all impressed by the size of the rooms, very comfortable and all on one level. Nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the restaurant, good value and potions plentiful. A few drinks in the bar, with a good selection to pleased all of us. Breakfast included in the price set us up for our forward journey.

My wife and I stayed here for one night while walking The Yorkshire Wolds Way. The communication with Carol, the host, before we arrived was excellent and the cottage was very comfortable. Carol had thought of everything, leaving us some basic provisions of bread, milk, butter, jam, marmalade, coffee, tea etc. as well as a few ‘treats’ such as chocolate biscuit bars, Yorkshire tea loaf and bags of crisps. Other items were provided such as a basket of ‘emergency’ items in the bathroom in case one forgets anything. To stock up on other food etc. there is a handy Tesco superstore just across the road. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay here. I would also recommend The Bay Horse Inn just 5-10mins walk away in the centre of town for a really superb evening meal.

Robeanne house B&B was the best place to stay in Shiptonthorpe, beautiful, room, very comfortable king size bed, fabulous breakfast, and wonderful owners. Worse thing in Shiptonthorpe was the road works.
