I was greeted by the owner who gave me a code and key. The room was ok the bathroom had a decent shower but the Bronze Pig is a restaurant with a couple of rooms above the restaurant. The restaurant was shut so it felt like going down the side of someone’s house to a staircase upstairs. The fire doors were all open and there was a code to get into the ally way. On my own there was no reception if there was a problem so I felt quite vulnerable. Clean nice room but not a hotel. No food available onsite and sent to a local hotel for breakfast.

The location was fantastic right opposite the cathedral. Although don't be fooled by the pictures the majority of the rooms do not have a view of the cathedral. Onsite parking (although this was chargeable).

Great pub up the road-The Dambusters that was full of interesting facts and items belonging to the R.A.F. Good meals served there. Try the fish and chips. The fish is so big it hangs over the side of the plate!!!!
Have a look around the church for more records of the war and the local heroes.
If you are going into Lincoln it is an easy run from Scampton.
In all, it was a wonderful stay at the cottage.
