I was only staying there to be close to by son and daughter-in-law and stayed with my daughter and her child. We ate at the local pub (ok meal) but spent little time there (arrived late and left early).

Arrived by motorbike to a warm welcome which isn't always the case! Room was spacious with comfy bed and decent bath/shower combo. The whole place was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The self serve breakfast had lots of choice and was very tasty. Only 1 pub in the village which provided pub grub and drinks at a very reasonable price.

I popped to the local pub for an evening meal - took a while for the meal to arrive as they were quite busy, but it was very good once I got it... ! No street lighting there, so when it gets dark in winter - would be worth taking a torch as not sure how easy it would be to find your way back to the B&B :)

The room was clean, sterile and comfortable. Had tea/coffee making facilities and the shared breakfast room could be used by guests at other times too, was fully equipped and clean. We walked along the canal nearby and were educated by the information board too. Easy access to York and Doncaster as well as the local villages where family live. Friendly informed staff

A lovely old renovated 1814 family owned cottage that had been extended for travellers. Cosy feel, our room had a bath. Cath was a wonderful host, she lives across the road and can lend a hand with most questions. Good value stay. Just make sure your room is warm enough and you can turn off the heating without opening windows.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic exactly as described and more. I can definitely say this has to be the best hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and I stay at hotels all week for work. Extremely clean and tidy, the bed was absolutely comfortable and the lady who showed me round was a delight. And the price for one night was a bargain. I will definitely stay again if I’m in that area added to my favourites.

After visiting our first hotel and seeing the shambles it was in, we were never going to stay there. Literally driving back towards home, seen this online and wow wow wow a free snooker table and a bath!! We're planning a few more company trips again already. Kathy is amazing and thank you so much for the upgrade. Best ever bed and breakfast I've stayed in.
