The Mallards, hotel in Oasby

The Mallards is located in Sleaford, 30 km from Lincoln University, 19 km from Belton House, and 23 km from Somerton Castle.

Never had a better B&B breakfast. Room was big and roomy. We are retired and do a considerable amount of traveling and have been in good and bad Hotels and B&B's. This was was very homely and a very pleasent stay Courtney, the Manager, couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, an asset to the business. Plentiful parking at the back of the property and in a quite area, but a 5 minute walk from the town centre Couldn't have asked for a better stay

The property is well located in the village.

The property is well located in the village. There is not a lot around it, but the old stone houses are beautiful and the gardens at The Houblon Arms look really inviting. In summer I imagine it would be a great place to sit, eat and drink. We received a really friendly greeting on arrival. The lunch and evening meals were excellent. If anything I would say that the portion sizes were too big, but it was delicious. The room was large, spacious and clean. The only downside of the bathroom and separate toilet was the floors were ceramic and no underfloor heating. It was really uncomfortable to walk on them without shoes. They did supply slippers and bath robes, so we probably should have used them. There is also a hot tub available, but it was so cold when we visited that there was no way we were going to use it. All in all I would highly recommend staying here. It is actually better than it looks in the photos.

The suite was lovely and clean and the food was excellent.

The suite was lovely and clean and the food was excellent. There are hot tubs available to guests and everywhere is very clean and well maintained. Every single member of staff was very approachable and friendly. The owners - John and Vicky are also extremely approachable and friendly. The atmosphere they all create is wonderful and we will be staying there again. I would recommend the Houblon Arms to anyone who is looking for a stress free and relaxing get away.
