The beds are very comfortable and give a good nights sleep. The room was easily accessible for a disability, and the bathroom was big and very clean. The room was of a very good size and very pleasantly decorated. Good facilities in the room, kettle and tea making facilities which is always appreciated. The breakfasts are always of a good quality.
Overall the standards of cleanliness are always very good and all the bedding is pristine.

Everything has been carefully thought out, room decor, food and service. It was an absolute delight and we would like to come back for a weekend. We thought that the staff were exceptional, a big shout out for the more mature employees with life experience who knew the history of the property.

The room was very good, all I could have wanted for a 4-day stay, although a small fridge would have been a bonus. The location close to the town centre, whilst not actually in it, was ideal.
The property is well located in the village. There is not a lot around it, but the old stone houses are beautiful and the gardens at The Houblon Arms look really inviting. In summer I imagine it would be a great place to sit, eat and drink. We received a really friendly greeting on arrival. The lunch and evening meals were excellent. If anything I would say that the portion sizes were too big, but it was delicious.
The room was large, spacious and clean. The only downside of the bathroom and separate toilet was the floors were ceramic and no underfloor heating. It was really uncomfortable to walk on them without shoes. They did supply slippers and bath robes, so we probably should have used them. There is also a hot tub available, but it was so cold when we visited that there was no way we were going to use it. All in all I would highly recommend staying here. It is actually better than it looks in the photos.

There are hot tubs available to guests and everywhere is very clean and well maintained. Every single member of staff was very approachable and friendly. The owners - John and Vicky are also extremely approachable and friendly. The atmosphere they all create is wonderful and we will be staying there again. I would recommend the Houblon Arms to anyone who is looking for a stress free and relaxing get away.
