Entire Thatched Cottage, hotel in Melbourn

The entire cottage was lovely and the garden was just simply stunning. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the wedding venue we were going to, and it simply was the best stay for us. The five of us were able to chill and relax the night before in the lovely cottage. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. Simply lovely.

Orchard Pond Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Melbourn

Set in Duxford, Orchard Pond Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as free bikes and a garden.

My stay here was booked as a treat by my wife, and a treat it was! Although only a brief 2 night stay, it was exceptional. Janet and her husband were very welcoming on my arrival and throughout my stay. The accommodation is well situated away from the main road in a quiet area, but at the same time, it is well located for a visit to the Imperial War Museum Duxford, which is where I was headed during my stay. The B&B is exceedingly well appointed and very comfortable. The interior is tastefully decorated with a nice touch of class. I was able to come and go as I needed. The bedroom was very comfortable indeed and had everything I required - ensuite, internet, coffee making facilities etc. The breakfast was spectacular! Plenty of variety and enough to set me up for the whole day! Janet was even kind enough to present me with a small cake with a candle for my birthday, which I celebrated during my stay. A lovely, thoughtful touch from a welcoming host. Thank you! :-)

Les is a most welcoming host and the breakfast he provided was amazing, wonderfully fresh with lots of choice, beautifully presented and of the highest quality - the best breakfast I think I’ve ever eaten! The accommodation is in a quiet but convenient spot in the village of Melbourn with a lovely garden and is very handy for visiting the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

The location is great. Melbourn is a lovely village with nice local pubs. The accommodation was perfect. The breakfast was especially good. Les clearly puts a lot of care and attention into it. There were many nice touches such as home smoked salmon and freshly roasted coffee beans. We had a really good stay and would happily stay again. Louise and Chris.

Les is an excellent host. Located in a quiet and secluded area of Melbourn, the accommodation offers everything you need. Ensuite bathroom, separate toilet, living room, kitchenette, and private garden. The quality and selection of breakfast is absolutely outstanding, with the added extra of home roasted coffee beans.
