Pennine Manor Hotel, hotel in Marsden

The friendly Pennine Manor offers free Wi-Fi, good food and free parking, with panoramic views of the Yorkshire countryside. The M62 is a 5-minute drive away.

All friendly people the superior room was great and got the breakfast and dinner included which was a bargain. The walks would be fantastic except for the rain but the views are worth this with the relaxation being out of town

The Fleece Inn at Barkisland, hotel in Marsden

This historical country inn from 1737 has panoramic views across the Ryburn Valley and a few minutes from the M62. It serves home-cooked food, and bedrooms feature wooden floors and panelling.

We both had the full English breakfast which was absolutely delicious. I would normally have gone for eggs benedict or similar, but as I didn't see an cereals out I plumped for the full English. It was only after we had ordered that a saw some cereals on a table at the other side of the room, but they weren't immediately apparent. The menu didn't mention cereal so I assumed there weren't any.

Spacious, Sunny Double Bedroom in Home Stay Quirky Cottage, Near Holmfirth, hotel in Marsden

Situated just 35 km from Clayton Hall Museum, Spacious, Sunny Double Bedroom in Home Stay Quirky Cottage, Near Holmfirth features accommodation in Holmfirth with access to a garden, a shared lounge,...

Me and my daughter traveled to Holmfirth to meet my daughters friend. We had a beautiful weekend and really enjoyed staying with Deborah at her lovely, full of character cottage. She was very welcoming and even allowed my daughters friend to stay with her for few hours in her accommodation as there was not only the room but also a lovely lounge we could use. She even prepared some drinks for them while they were together ;) The room we stayed in was a good size and very cute, had all we needed for our short stay. Its situated off the main road in a quiet hamlet with beautiful views and feels very peaceful. It takes about 45 minutes walking to get to Holmfirth but its a lovely walk, mostly through countryside. My daughter and her friend took Uber the last day to meet me in the village as it rained and it only cost them about 6 pounds.

    Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings.

Marsden was lovely, beautiful surroundings. However, we struggled to find a cafe/eaterie with decent vegan options anywhere. It would be nice to find a nice place that caters for everyone. Outdoor swimming not far away.

situated between Marsden and Slaithwaite it was a nice 20 min walk to either village to explore and have food and drinks. A path at the back of the property leads straight up to the moors for hiking. the property itself was lovely, clean and had all the facilities you would want. comfy bed, dining table, sofa and good sized bathroom. the balcony had sun and lovely views. hosts were great and gave us suggestions of places to go. would recommend and stay again our dog also loved it!

Stone Eater is a fine base for activities in the Huddersfield Marsden are of West Yorkshire, especially walks around the Pennines, natural history and the social life and engineering history of the 1750's to late 20th Century.
