Great lication in the centre of a charming village. The hosts were very welcoming and had communicated very clearly with us. They booked us into a lical pub for dinner whoch was very good. The room was very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee and a mini fridge. Breakfast was exactly as we requested.

The whole area was full of interesting buildings with pleasant views across fields. There are several good footpaths and bridleways to take one into the countryside. There are many historic sites some in ruins others in very good order. If you are a wine lover there is a superb vintners in Wells Road. We ate in one of the inns The Black Lion, had a very good lunch there. There are many other good cafes and shops, including a very well stocked farm shop. A week was not really long enough.

Little Walsingham is a very picturesque village, with the main attractions being the two shrines and Abbey ruins, but there is little to do in the evenings, with only two pubs ( one of which didn't open at all, and the other closing at 9.30pm. ) and a cafe bar, but no restaurants.

Little Walsingham is pretty, no doubt about it, but there is not a lot going on there apart from the RC and Anglican shrines. there's a tea shop, a shrine shop and two pubs and a farm shop, pus the gournds of the ruined abbey. It's fine as a base for the north norfolk coast and I spent most of my time in Cley and Blakeney.

Pleasant little village with an excellent farm shop and Tea shop “Digest and Rest” which made fabulous cakes. The Black Lion hotel serves excellent food and looks a very comfortable place to stay. The village has a remarkable history and is an exalted pilgrimage destination. Everyone very friendly.

A very interesting village with tudor houses, locals cared for their village as all frontages were adorned with beautiful potted colourful flowers.
Not for individuals with walking difficulty as uneven footpaths.
Plenty of parking but village does get very busy with tourists by 11:00.
I used the pub in the square which was more homely and less chaotic rather than the one next door to Elham house. This was my personnal choice.

Beautiful hotel in a really quaint village. The rooms were very clean and had good facilities, ie tv and tea and coffee facilities. The beds were really warm and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly and the breakfast was the best we've had in a long time at a hotel. Parking outside was a little tricky, but it is a small village and there is a public car park about 100 yards away. Definitely would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, location, value for money and friendliness of staff.
The staff were a highlight of our trip, all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a really nice atmosphere and was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the rare nice weather with a few drinks. The food was all very good (the scotch egg and fishcakes especially) and the room was clean and pleasant. Very pretty village. Overall we had a relaxing and very enjoyable trip.
This is a different place to stay as it's linked to the shrine at Little Walsingham and most of the people staying were there for that reason. For us that was fine and you don't have to be religious to stay. The room was clean and comfortable and a very good breakfast was included. Free tea and coffee in the dining room.
Possibly the worst breakfast I have had in a hotel or B & B. Not a proper continental breakfast, cereals stored in plastic containers could have been months old and looked that way in some cases, and bread or croissants from rusty old bread bins is not what we would have expected.
The staff were friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and breakfast was lovely. As we stayed on a Tuesday night we had dinner at the sister venue The Black Lion Hotel where the food was delicious and the walk to and from was easy.
