On arrival we got an upgrade on our room which was a nice little touch.
The room was very large with everything you need in a hotel room. Very clean and cozy. Within walking distance to the centre. Lovely little bar for a drink. We are going to book again but eat in the restaurant. The full English breakfast was really nice and they also had small bowls of fresh fruit salad to choose from along with the usual cereal etc.

Hull is brilliant, and its History is amazing. It’s easy to see why it’s Old Town has been used as the back drop to various movies.
The Shopping areas don’t appear to have anything like the number of amazing high quality department stores today. It once had around 6 beautiful such large stores, and many other key branded stores have also left the City.
It still has a nice vibe, though it’s less busy, like most other medium sized cities these days I suppose.
The sea front, the Marina is really lovely and the Fruit Market too is not to be missed along with its amazing museums.

Excellent art gallery (Ferens) and museums (Wilberforce; Hull and E Riding).
Wide, tree-lined streets leading from the station to the Old Town.
Some great old pubs, but I saw several that looked almost empty, or even closed down. Sad!

I was born there so biased, left in '98 but have family so go back often. Hull is a city with great history, largely forgotten because it isn't on the way to anywhere. Like any city, there are good and bad bits. It's one of the friendliest places on earth. People will talk to you and are welcoming. Its a good place to base a visit and explore the area.

My 3rd visit to the city and I still have much to explore...
My 3rd visit to the city and I still have much to explore there. History, culture and the sea. The locals are friendly, polite and often up for a chat. The Humber Bridge, Ferens Art Gallery, The Deep, walking the coast and the docks, the George Hotel in the Land of Green Ginger (great pub, amazing prices), Coffee Pot in Hepworth Arcade, Grafton Hotel (for Paul Heaton fans), walking the rivers, Larkin's Bar in Newlands Avenue, the University and Cottingham, Wilberforce Museum (stunning and free!), Paragon Interchange and Pearson Park are my go to places.
Food - Greggs (great coffee and slices), fish and chips in Princes Avenue, Bon Appetit in English Street by the docks. The best veggie fry up I've had in ages. Great coffee and tea, great prices and marvellous service. The Royal Cafe - Anlaby Road and the Admiral of the Humber, a Wetherspoon's just down from there.
Hull really is a great place to visit.

Traffic gridlock makes this a hard city to "like."
Traffic gridlock makes this a hard city to "like." Should it take 32 mins to drive 6 miles from the hotel to the centre?
On another route why is there a 7 mile stretch of dual carriageway on the approach to the centre with an average speed camera enforced 40mph temp speed limit and no work taking place.
Nah Hull is really not visiting.
We had a large, comfortable room with balcony and view over the marina to the Humber. The hotel felt quiet and spacious and the wide variety of choices at breakfast were very good indeed.
The hotel is very well situated, being by the marina but also only a short walk to the old town, waterfront and the city centre shops. Paragon Interchange rail/bus station is also an easy walk.
Excellent apartment with all you could wish for, lovely decor and spotlessly clean, lovely owners who make you feel very welcome, lots of parking in retail site behind the pub, which is included in price, and great location near marina with a short walk to city centre
It is close to the Marina and walking distance to the city centre. The apartment decor was lovely, very clean with very good facilities. Secure private parking was a bonus. Communication with the manager was very helpful & friendly
Property was excellent and had a VERY safe feeling.
Secure car park is a massive plus as many major hotels in Hull don’t have any.
12 min walk to city centre £5 taxi from the station.
This place is a gem.
Close proximity to amenities such as St Stephens and Hull Town centre, also parking in the multistory Close to the hotel for a discounted price.
Breakfast fab.
