Very helpful and thoughtful hosts in Steve and Simon. Great breakfast options. Very comfortable and well designed bedroom. Very thoughtful sensor night lights placed along the corridor/steps into the private bathroom. Well stocked tea. coffee etc. supplies in the bedroom topped up daily. Steve offered to take our bags both up to and down from our bedroom which was much appreciated (see stairs comment below).

Staff, location and the bed was very nice. A little bit of a tired and dusty decor.

Great location and although on the main A12 the rooms are set back enough to be nice and quiet

We liked the included breakfast items and thought it was great value for accommodation with a separate bedroom, in an expensive area of the country with a fabulous view from our window ( see pic). It was very clean and we felt reassured by the bleachy smell every time someone departed. We also enjoyed lots of great walks during our 9 night stay, through picturesque countryside. Southwold and Walberswick are lovely scenic unspoilt resorts, with great opportunities for birdspotting and enjoying the scenery. We had lots of meals out at different places and enjoyed them all. Sutherland House in Southwold was expensive but classy, Coasters in Southwold was less expensive but lovely too and the food at the pizzeria (Doh) was equally enjoyable for a change. The Anchor (we reccomend the fish and chips) and the Bell in Walberswick were the nearest ones we visited and we also walked over the fields to the White Hart at Blythburgh (50 mins, away with friendly locals) and the Ship at Dunwich ( the amazing fish board was worth the 110 minute walk). We also took a bus trip to Lowestoft from Southwold taking advantage of the £2 bus fares, for an economical day out and to give our knees a rest from all the walking!
The Plough Inn is a traditional Suffolk country Inn, conveniently located just off the A12 in Wangford, just a few miles from the popular seaside town of Southwold. Ample parking is available.

Halesworth is a lovely town that is very lively in good weather. It has surprisingly many delicatessen shops and cafes - the pedestrian zone is then full of tables and chairs and people enjoying themselves. Well worth visiting.

Halesworth is a fantastic town.
Halesworth is a fantastic town. Steeped in history, some properties are 800 years old. Ancient House cafe lovely. Explore on foot. Very dog friendly, we don't own one, but cuddled lots. Angel and White Hart do great food. Explore laneways and side streets, ghosts a many too!

We didn't actually visit Halesworth, we only really drove through it and of course it was the location of our chosen accomodaation - CORNER FARM (which we highly recommend!)
Suffolk is a lovely county. The countryside is amazing and within just a few miles, there are lots of restaurants (booking essential) places to visit, with the coast of Southwold approx 15 miles away. The country roads are narrow and unlit, but traffic is light.

Great town in the middle of Suffolk, 30-40 mins by car to other main cities; great outdoor activities (walks/hikes) and great natural environment. Definitely recommended for those who are looking for an escape into one of the most beautiful English countrysides.
Excellent continental breakfast delivered to the room. Plenty of choice.
Good location , in a quiet inland village but close to the shops in Halesworth and within easy reach of the coast at Southwold and Aldeburgh.
Chris was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The property was very clean and Covid precautions were taken very seriously. There was a nice garden. The kitchenette was useful for snacks and for storing items in the fridge . Our room (Aldeburgh) had a spacious private bathroom . Good value for money.
Lovely quiet area around 15 min drive to halesworth.. which is fine. pub close by
Took our dog it was great for him with enclosed sunny garden
Very very clean highly recommend

Excellent large fridge freezer btw

Welcome pack is fab nice bottle of red, bread milk water orange juice lovely touch.
The room was spacious and clean with small seating area overlooking garden. Food was excellent i.e. breakfast and dinner, using locally sourced produce. Nice touch was fresh milk for room tea and coffee facilities not the dreaded UHT pod and fresh biscuits. Tyler the host was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Picked this hotel because it was close to the places we wanted to visit.
Host was super friendly and provided a lot of info and suggestions on things to do around the area. Facilities were kept at the highest standard, similar or superior to a 5 start hotel. Location was great with many footpaths/walks close by. Definitely recommend it!
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean well kept and comfy rooms. Breakfast was excellent, continental style but see later. Also very quiet location near to Halesworth a nice little town with nice shops and places to eat. Lovely garden.
The hosts were great. The accomodation was spotless and comfortable. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious. Who needs to pay Southwold prices when halesworth has so much to offer?
This is just a FABULOUS hotel. Super clean and comfortable, the food was 5 star and the staff were fantastic. Really made it feel like home, we will definitely be returning
Quiet and lovely setting 10mins away from Halesworth in the Suffolk countryside.
