Satis House Hotel, hotel in Halesworth

Set in an 18th-century, grade II listed building, the Satis House Hotel has 3 acres of parklands and is located just off the A12. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are available.

Breakfast was very good. Decor of main house was very good, a bit dark & gloomy though. Staffing issues. Owners seemed to lack interest. The lady that was possibly the main cook was very friendly but had a very scruffy appearance & smelt heavily of cigarettes. A beautiful property, but not run efficiently. Signage was very poor & the owner agreed that Sat Nav instructions were very unclear. The Hotel should give prior warning of this & give specific directions.

    Halesworth is a fantastic town.

Halesworth is a fantastic town. Steeped in history, some properties are 800 years old. Ancient House cafe lovely. Explore on foot. Very dog friendly, we don't own one, but cuddled lots. Angel and White Hart do great food. Explore laneways and side streets, ghosts a many too!

We went to Southwold cycling over the marshes, Minsmere RSPB, Aldenburgh and surrounding areas birdwatching. We ate mainly at the property. Traveling around was easy and fuel was a good price. We enjoyed our time very much and there was no negatives

We didn't actually visit Halesworth, we only really drove through it and of course it was the location of our chosen accomodaation - CORNER FARM (which we highly recommend!) Suffolk is a lovely county. The countryside is amazing and within just a few miles, there are lots of restaurants (booking essential) places to visit, with the coast of Southwold approx 15 miles away. The country roads are narrow and unlit, but traffic is light.

My purpose in visiting was to spend time with an elderly relative. Hence I used very few facilities. From previous experience Halesworth is a good base for exploring a lovely part of Suffolk/Norfolk

Great town in the middle of Suffolk, 30-40 mins by car to other main cities; great outdoor activities (walks/hikes) and great natural environment. Definitely recommended for those who are looking for an escape into one of the most beautiful English countrysides.

The location and parking were good.

The location and parking were good. The property was clean and reasonably comfortable although only one twin sofa and one armchair. Only one saucepan and no lid for it. I would have expected at least two saucepans. Check in at 5pm rather late. I was surprised that we were required to empty the bins and strip the beds prior to departure. I had assumed that a cleaning charge is factored into the price.

Very comfortable, clean and modern style room with everything you could need including a personal bathroom with shower. The hosts Steve & Simon are very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast, freshly cooked and a selection of cereals, pastries, fruit etc. Halesworth town centre is a couple of minutes walk away, where you can find some great places to eat and drink. We stayed for two nights and used as a base to explore the area for which it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Fantastic room with great facilities, bathroom is excellent. Listed building so lots of real old world charm still there. Host Tyler was excellent as was his daughter who served us in the restaurant on Friday night. The food in the restaurant was the best we have had in years and great value, thoroughly recommend booking in whilst you stay there. Halesworth is a great base for exploring that part of Suffolk being also very close to the coast.

The location was absolutely amazing for us as we have family that live in Halesworth so was only a five minute drive away. Great coastal locations around the area within a half hour drive. The property was immaculate and had plenty of the necessities. Overall a great stay!
