I stayed here twice, first time to support my sister when her husband was very sick and secondly for the funeral. Comfortable and a good location. The pillows weren't great but I regularly have issue with hotel pillows.

This is a real gem!! Room was beautifully furnished. It's quite with very easy parking. The David Hockney wall hangings are superb and a real eye catcher. The food was exceptional !! Beautiully cooked and presented and with a very knowledgable staff explaining in real detail what i was eating. A first rate service. Bar sells locally crafted ales, again very wll presented and with detailed suppier knowledge. The site is tranquil, peaceful and I thoroughly enjoyed. Took my wife a "Hug In A Box" which she fully appreciated. A full sensory experience.

The hotel's location reminded me of Shakespeare's time. Exceptional, historic and charming! The room was ok, good beds, cleanliness. The breakfast was unexpected by the offerer and served in a purely British atmosphere! (A note: the heat from radiator cannot be adjusted- room 11)
