The room was super comfortable and well furnished, with all the little touches one would hope for. Staff were very helpful in keeping our bags from early morning until check-in. The whole thing was let down by breakfast, cheap 'Mothers Pride' style bread for toast with a tiny amount of butter, limited menu with mainly variations on eggs, poor quality tea (yet served in a leaf tea teapot). We've enjoyed far better breakfasts in much cheaper B&B's.

Clean. Welcoming. Home from home. Private. Great breakfast and room facilities. Hairdryer provided. Lots of hangers. Netflix on the tv and free wifi with good connection. Proper coffee machine, juice and water in the fridge upon arrival. Clean and good size towels provided. Super comfy pillows and 2 per person which is great!!! Fantastic temperature control. Was lovely and warm when I arrived
Wonderful location for walking. We took our dog and had an ideal room opening onto the enclosed residents’ garden. She was made welcome by all the staff.
Wonderful location for walking and we followed one of the hotel’s suggested circular routes …sunny day and sensational Autumn woods and spectacular views from the South Downs Sun at.
The dinner was delicious with interesting choices for vegetarians.
