Everything - friendly staff, extremely comfortable room and excellent food (I stay away quite a lot on business and the breakfast was by far the best I’ve ever had). Gem of a place - thanks!

Prefer this town to stay over Castleton as less crowded, plenty of parking spaces, and just 10-15 mins drive from the popular caverns and Mam Tor, plus it's just next to Eccles Pike that highly recommended to walk to ;) The Royal Bar & Grill must visit restaurant at Chapel en le Frith for delicious food and great atmosphere

Although remote there are plenty of walks you can explore as Chapel en le Frith is rich in History and the information is first class 3 to 5 miles in duration.
Personally i loved the peace and quiet feel of this market town although Buxton would be more convenient for transport and facilties Chapel has something more quiet and thoughtful for those interested in a historic aspect.

Chapel en le Frith is a great place to stay, so much to do and see in the surrounding area. Great for walks, National Trust properties and totally amazing views. A good selection of pubs and cafes, and two supermarkets.

I have been visiting The Peak District for over 50 years and have never stayed in Chapel, my mistake. It’s really convenient but often overlooked, easy access by car to Castleton, Edale Buxton etc. The people we met were super friendly from pub to restaurant to the shops. The town is big enough to have a couple of supermarkets, post office and a choice of places to eat. We found craft ales brewed locally, enjoyed a local quiz night and found a “ little gem” ie The Roebuck.

We were thereto visit family members, so not really for the area. Though we did go to Blue John Cavern to fill the day. What we saw Of Chapel was a very pleasant looking town, and the locals we spoke to very friendly and helpful

Very pretty (in the snow) - people very friendly (strangers helping cars stuck in the ice with shovels of grit and cardboard from a local delivery driver)….
Lots of eateries within walking distance showcasing a range of worldwide cuisines - The Rowbuck Inn was an excellent base for exploring.
Bedrooms spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated (inc mirror, tv, beside tables with sockets for charging, wardrobe with hangers and fully stocked tea/coffee making facilities including biscuits.
Will definitely be returning for another visit 👍🏻

The full English breakfast was good & served promptly but things like toast & marmalade weren’t offered. Tea was from a coffee machine that dispensed hot water. The breakfast service was given by a young girl who was pleasant & efficient but clearly overwhelmed. Breakfast was only available between 08:30 & 09:30, which is unusual.
There was a car park at the rear of the pub which is a bonus as that part of Chapel en le frith is old & street parking is difficult.
big room, kettle tea coffee milk lots of electric sockets WiFi,etc
views of the moors, room service..well stock bar, great food, big plate full,
big kids soft play area in nearby park, good beer garden with play area for kids, plenty of car parking in the hotel grounds
friendly helpful staff
