On average, 3-star hotels in Bristol cost £106 per night, and 4-star hotels in Bristol are £142 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Bristol can on average be found for £118 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.
Bristol is a very compact city and very easy to get around,...
Bristol is a very compact city and very easy to get around, even to Clifton which is up a fairly steep hill. We didn't find that all the roads had names clearly displayed though there were numerous signposts to the main attractions. The A1 Airport Flyer bus was very efficient and cheap, and Bristol Temple Meads Station is a hub for getting to both Wales and the West Country (though we only went to Bath). If we'd have had more time we would have hired bikes and cycled to Bath along the old railway line. There were many cafes, bars and restaurants-busy but not too busy. If you like Wetherspoons (OK, not fine dining I know, but cheap, with efficient service) there's the Knights Templar just round the corner from the hotel, and the Union Rooms, a late Georgian building in the old city centre. We'd definitely recommend the M Shed cafe, next to the museum. It offered tasty food and a great view of the harbourside. We ate outside in the sun-lovely.
On the downside, like many cities there seems to be a large homeless population. If you feel you might like to help, Bristol Homelessness have contactless card payment locations around the city. Also, there was a lot of grafitti. Great if you're Banksy, and there were also other stunning murals around on gable ends of houses, but some 'artists' lacked the imagination to only spray their tagline.

We loved Clifton village and the facilities there. We visited during week days so not much of street markets and not much was going on in the centre of the city.We also like the museums and the ambient of the city

Steeped in history , this city is almost like another exquisite country within England .
The cost of that though means inner city old & narrow streets make road travel & parking there a challenge at times .
The fortnightly refuse collections from the narrow streets are responsible for unnecessary unsightly spats .
Where else do you find spontaneous pom pom trees ; community grown fruit trees specifically for picking in the park ( St Andrews) ; tolerance with kindness toward those on the margins of society ( free food outlets as per Gloucester Rd) ; art tours around the city ‘s private residences ; so many free festivals ; holiday harbour vibe ; intellectuals residing in their beautiful University city ; beautiful architecture maintained as living spaces .
The independent businesses include a plethora of cafes , eateries of all sorts ; and shops & galleries providing hand crafted original items .
Hobbies are catered for - Dry ski- slopes ; indoor & outdoor swimming ( the historical Lido is a delight) ; Leisure centres ; the zoo moved to North Bristol & the Urban city farm ; glorious parks ( Blaise Castle Estate ); the harbour has so much - SS Gt Britain ; M Shed, Arnolfino - Original local Art is explored & enjoyed freely .
Apart from the Hippodrome , small & less expensive theatres put on all sorts of productions.
My daughter went to Bristol to study , never left & we delight in visiting our grandchildren in this beautiful place .
I suspect the impact of John Wesley ( visit the chapel & enjoy folk concerts there ) left the legacy of care & respect for all which seems integral in Bristolians .
A city where tradition & individuality rubs along in symphony with innovative modernity .
As you can tell , I love it.

The room was clean , bright and airy with just the four beds and four sets of draws , the toilets and showers were near by along the corridor again they were spotless , clean and well maintained plenty of hot water to enjoy a good shower. The Plug sockets 2 sets of two were set along one wall and covered by two of the four beds . And the two windows next to a busy road were only single glazed so the room was noisy from the traffic and people on the pavement. Over all I like d the Location and I slept very well despite the noise and the beds were to soft.

Lovely city overall, however lots of beggars and junkies in the centre.good choice of shops and places to eat.No vegan options or non could see.lots of nice things to do out of main city area like Clifton and SS great Britain and the riverside.Tour bus up to Clifton is lovely but could of been longer and possibly travelled over the bridge to get the wow factor and even better views of the area.
Our family absolutely loved the room and surely the hotel. It was a big, comfortable room, just perfect for a family of four. We liked as well the fact that it was just 6-7 mins walk from Bristol Temple meads station. Very near to the hotel, just accross the road, there was a bus station, but as we prefer to walk, the city centre was accessible in just 10-15 mins walk, perhaps less if you do not have small children. The breakfast was very good as well. We had a very pleasant stay 😊
I have stayed at the Arnos Manor Hotel on many occasions now. It provides me with spotlessly clean accommodation close to my work in Bristol. It’s ideally located for work and Bristol city centre with free parking available. Every room I have stayed in has been spotlessly clean. They also provide little extras such as iron, ironing board and hair dryers in all rooms. Not all hotels provide these.
Great to have loose tea and coffee in the room with fresh milk and bottles of shampoo etc - great to see waste saving. Window open on arrival. Nice little touches with sherry to sip, fresh fruit and biscuits. Friendly staff. Good view over Bristol - the hotel is located up a hill from central Bristol, so be prepared for up hill walking (good for me). Good to have a fridge in the room.
Location great for walking to everything within the city centre including shopping centres, bars, and restaurants. Hotel easy to get to from railway station. All staff excellent - welcoming and keen to help. Every part of hotel very clean. Comfortable furnishings. There are plenty of hotels in central Bristol but I would be happy to stay in this one again.
The hostel is located in the centre of Bristol, in a walking distance from all important venues including the railway station. The common spaces are kept clean and access to the accommodation area is secured. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. I can't thank enough for the support they have given to me assuring a comfortable stay.
I booked the hotel just for one overnight stop in Bristol and didn't expect much but the hotel really exceeded my expectations. It is a proper European modern, clean, comfortable hotel on a quiet street. Being near the bus coach station for us it was just fine. Close proximity to the center and nearby malls and shop streets.
The hotel is in a great location right across from Cabot Circus in Bristol City Centre. The hotel feels modern and the staff were very welcoming. Even though the hotel was busy, it was easy to sleep and there were no late night/early morning disturbances which led to a great nights sleep.
Check in early was quick and easy.
Location was great and free parking city centre was a bonus.
Bar staff we excellent, one of the best steaks I've even had!
Room clean and comfy.
Breakfast was nice and better than some hotels.
Overall, a very nice family night away.
Lovely house felt very at home and is very close to the station and lots of other places definitely recommend. Will definitely be going back in the future if in Bristol. Just could do with some curtains in the kitchen area as would make it feel more comfortable at night.
The welcome was great when we checked in. The room was big, comfortable and with a view to Bristol suspended bridge. Breakfast was yummy! And the hotel is 2min walk away from restaurants, bars, pubs and from Bristol London Bridge. Great location!
As a last-minute choice for a Bristol visit, the hotel was just fine! It's not in central Bristol, but is well-served by buses, not hard to get around at all. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet!
