I had an upgrade as the television wasn’t working in the first room, the lovely lady on reception immediately offered to upgrade me I loved the room very comfortable, the staff were very helpful.
The bathroom was finished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was good I had a full English everything was very hot and freshly cooked.

Good location a 6-7 min walk to the train station. Free parking which was a bonus. Rooms were a bit tired but I think new owners are slowly refurbishing the place. Friendly staff

The hotel is like a museum, it is full of history and artefacts. It definitely has earned its top starred ratings. We were given a free upgrade with free parking (Parking is usually £8). We will definitely be returning as we were sad to leave as it was such a fairytale place. The gardens are phenomenal and lots of wildlife running free.
