The staff were very friendly, the beds and pillows were comfortable. That there was a fan in the bedroom. Door to room was on outside, so no noise from other guests like normal hotel rooms. Easy checkout as just need to drop key in a box.

We chose Berkeley because it was just a short drive from Slimbridge, so it was very convenient. Getting to Gloucester is also easy and this is well worth a visit for the Cathedral, shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Around the docks is very interesting and there is the Outlet Centre there. As it was winter and the Castle was not open we did not visit Berkeley Castle but in the summer this would also be on the list of attractions.

I didn't have time to explore Berkeley unfortunately but I found the castle and gardens well maintained and of great interest to me.
Although I did eat in the Castle tent I didn't enjoy the food entirely I felt the environment which was hot and smelly wasn't exactly conducive to having a nice meal. The quality was only average and it would have been better if they had stuck to providing good quality sandwiches prepared on site which I understand doesn't happen presently. .
The property was easily accessed and had excellent parking. The location was excellent for our purposes which was a wedding at Berkeley Castle. The facilities were excellent with all possible equipment provided. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage was well heated. Upon arrival a bottle of Prosecco and scones with jam and clotted cream were available together with fresh milk and orange juice. There was plenty of tea, coffee and sugar for a weekend. Altogether we would highly recommend and would use again.
I stayed in this flat with my elderly parents for three nights and we loved every minute of our stay. Our hosts were very helpful and left us milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and juice on our arrival and the flat itself was beautiful: full of light, newly renovated, super clean and beautifully appointed. The location, right in the middle of Berkeley steps aways from its shops, cafes, takeaway places and pubs, couldn't be better.
Wow what a blast out of the past this hotel was great. It really was something special out in the middle of a little town. The decommissioned nuclear plant is one thing. The town is great and this location was very special. Over 200 years old and the owner Wendy was fantastic. Pub was perfect and the food was fantastic.
Lovely rural location with easy access to Berkeley, Slimbridge, Dursley and other nice places to visit.
Simple cottage - ideal for a couple with young children plus another couple. Separate kitchen, dining and lounge areas.
All lovely and clean.
Location excellent, Berkeley a fascinating place to stay, Accommodation comfortable, facilities great. good shopping only yards away, didn't try eating out but enjoyed chinese takeaway one night
Located centrally in Berkeley. Comfy sofa and beds. Tea, coffee (pods and cafetiere), sugar, salt, pepper and cleaning products provided. Good quality bedding and towels.
