Nice location but I would have struggled to find it without sat nav. McDonald's was five minutes away as there was no evening food offer.
Beds were comfortable. Rooms clean apart from the stained carpet

It is a quiet town very convenient for visiting Winchester, Salisbury, the New Forest, Newbury, Whitchurch and Southampton. Anton Lakes local Natural Reserve gives a good opportunity to relax sitting on a bench and watching wildlife birds. Don't forget to visit the local Iron Age history museum and beautiful St.Mary's church.

A quiet town, without much to see. The Anton River canal near the old mill and the Anton lakes are the only places worth visiting, the river has ducks and swans as well. The town has supermarkets, and a train station and the distances are relatively easy to walk, even with luggage.

A good spot to go out to visit but Andover itself is not so picturesque as it shoukd be.

The Jack Russell is a lovely country pub/hotel set in a beautiful location. The rooms are large and well equipped, staff were amazing, and everything is extremely dog-friendly (a very important point for us). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with a great choice of options, many of them sourced from local produce. Overall a very pleasant stay.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the John Russell Fox Wetherspoons hotel, Andover. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely rooms with a fabulous shower and excellent value for money. The central location was perfect for us with just a short taxi ride to the train station. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the area.
I stay here a fair bit this was first time in one of the outside rooms, lovely big room with old wooden beams, great little hotel bang in middle of town.
